I, for one, do not support all minions being edible, and am glad this little guy isn't. Yes, it's just a game, but why contribute to the desensitization of the next generation...and mankind in general? We're raised to believe that the unspeakably cruel slaughter and consumption of other sentient beings is acceptable and "no big deal". Making all of the supposed sentient minions in-game edible would only support that practice in a virtual way.
Also, there are thousands of food items in game already. Minions are minions and food is food. Those collecting minions for the sake of collecting *minions* shouldn't have to collect everything twice for their gourmand pet as every minion now has a double purpose. There's enough of those being made lately, for those who feel the desire to eat cute things with faces.

Oh perfect for User not found: bitterlimeparakeet's Birthday -- a friendly little birdy release!
@frederick
Also, as to the CW chicken butt -- I wish (for User not found: bitterlimeparakeet's sake) that it had been a public release - I know she has been really really wanting that!
Let's look at it again, since it is so pretty.

LOL.. the Dutch word for chicken is kip and sometimes that word gets changed into kippetje (little chicken) or kippie (in certain areas of my country)
Since this is an English site, I never expect it to be a chicken. I thought it would be more like a kappa.
