New Project - Armory Sorting

FYI, Survival will not be starting tomorrow. Please don't post Survival questions to this news post, let's stay on (sword) point for the sorting. Thank you!

there should be a category for minions/creatures since i ran into quite a few equippable minions and non-minion creatures when sorting haha xD

Does it count right? I got the achievement and avatar boarder and I doubt I sorted 250 items already.
I'm so confused for half of these, but okay
Some blatant examples would probably come in handy

I think a category like "support" would be a good addition (for things like shrines and auras that surround the pet). Even if they do damage as well, they're not really weapons you wield in 1-2 hands or throw. Also something like "minion" (not that exact word maybe to avoid confusion with the other kinds of minions we have on site). There seem to be a lot of items that are just an animal/spirit you bring with you to battle. As mentioned by others there are some weapon types that pop up a lot, like daggers, that could use their own subcategory.
Also I think bows could just be available as 2-handed only and shields as 1-handed only. For regular bows you can't use them 1-handed, and most shields would be 1-handed (I guess you could have a really wide shield that requires 2 hands, but I don't know if we have an item like that and it would be an exception). Everything else seems like it could be both 1 or 2-handed, but bow/shield just seem like they never would. (Unless you're dual wielding shields :P). (Also, for 2-handed orbs, I've been putting the SubetaBalls there because mentally I think of them as having the size of basketballs).
I haven't been looking at the actual stats of any weapons, only considering the item/overlay art and name/description. I find it a bit hard to judge what is magical and not. It seems like almost everything could be magical. Are all elements magic? Then any weapon that does any damage aside from Physical would be magical. But to avoid classing everything as magic, I've been thinking that it should seem truly magical, and not just reference an element.

Oh - it seems I took it mega Literally and only marked things as magical if they had an aura ๐ณ

okay turns out if you refresh the page, you get a new item, so you can just do that if you're not sure of something

Seconding or thirding or possibly more-ing folks who've brought up that we need a "this is not a weapon" option. On top of things like
, I have now also gotten
which I can see is classed as a weapon but like...why? As far as I can tell it has no stats at all.

Only complaint is that I wish there was a counter somewhere so I could see how much progress I've made towards 250 lol

I had no idea that the Twilight Potion was a weapon. Neat.
Also, I want to second that I keep getting stuck debating myself on one- vs two-handed bows...Pretty sure all longbow-style bows should be 2-handers, though. Maybe small crossbows could be 1-handed.

also! is 'magical' for things like wand/staffs (ie things that magic casters might use) or is it for items that have some kind of aura in the art? like dark matter?

Suggested additions:
Under Wearable:
-Face
-Back
-Wrist
Not a Weapon - For mistakes
And "Meteor Crossbow" is clearly a longbow. :P

we need a category for dagger/knives, whips, and scythes.
i'm also unsure how to differentiate between one-handed and two-handed weapons? do we go by the wardrobe overlay--where most weapons are held in one hand just due to the base--or whether the weapon is traditionally used with one or two hands in real life?
i am confusion.

nice! I tried my best judgment (and some research) to sort everything that was shown to me. hope to have helped a bit. thanks for the border <3

I have been choosing "other" for daggers and knives, as they aren't really swords. What is everyone else doing with them?

So, is it "Worn" or "One Handed"?! "One-handed" can be a shield, while "Worn" cannot be...
Particulars aside, I would love an explanation as to what the five categories are meant to be. You know, for the non-battle-oriented folk who haven't the foggiest what is the difference between a potion and a bomb battle-wise and can only go by the look of the item?

Yessssss organizing items my beloved pastime โฅ๏ธ
And the sort page is so neat and organized too. Categories could use some additions (lances/spears, daggers, minion) but overall very relaxing. I love putting things into neat little (virtual) boxes~

I apologize in advance for the potential mistakes. I will sort out the rest in the next few days.

I love all of the items I’m discovering. Goose-a-pult, anyone? Also, didn’t realize
was a weapon…um…other, other. ๐

I like to check to see if I have some of these weapons. Plus it reminds me of all the awesome battle weapons the site has.

I just realized you can only choose one option. I was pretty pleased with myself - this one is worn on the hand AND thrown AND an other type weapon…whoopsies. So, now I’ll just do the one that seems like it makes the most sense. I like these kind of all-hands-on-deck projects. ๐

Every time I submit one, the item preview for the next won't even pop up unless I refresh entirely. Any idea if there's a fix for this?

I dont do battles or pets to have an opinion over this but I am interested to see what follows!

It's really hard to see the "Magical" checkbox, but now that I know where it is I'LL DO MY BEST. The achievement for this popped up yesterday and I was like "??? Where is this sorting project" but here it is finally. XD

@Kinky
You're not going to be docked for having an opinion, promise! Especially on matters of whether something is magical or not, or if you make a judgement call on the description rather than the overlay or vice versa. Even just putting something in the other>other category because you're just not sure about it is going to be all right.
@dude
Please don't feel bad for pinging me, I'm glad to help! You can put it in 'other' right now if you prefer, or you could put it in swords depending on how you feel about the length and classification. It's less about right or wrong. More the idea of if we were to make an opponent or an event in the future that used these categories, what helps with that experience? If a battle opponent or NPC had swords listed as an interest or item pool, what out of Subeta's battle items would you expect to see (or what would throw you out of immersion)?

Took me a little under 2 hours to get the achievement, cross-referencing with Subegalodge for weapon info (many thanks to them!!)
This was a great task, and a wonderful reward for it c: thanks for letting us help!
