The Millionaire Center sells pet slots up to 28 now. It was 25.
In the pet suggestions thread I floated starting with one more slot and going from there.... three felt like a better place to start!
‼️ The prices have been updated! A slot used to cost 20 million sP times how many you owned mod ten, plus one. In practice the price climbed from 20 million to 200 million across ten slots and then dropped back to 20 million and climbed again. Slot 10 cost 200 million. Slot 11 cost 20 million. It was a formula written when the cap was 10, and it outlived two cap increases without anyone opening it up or doing anything about it.
Now the price only goes one direction 📈. Your first slot is 10 million sP, and every slot after costs 2 million more than the one before it. Slot 5 is 18 million, slot 15 is 38 million, slot 26 is 60 million, and slot 28 is 64 million. Buying all 28 comes to 1.036 billion. Buying 25 under the old prices came to 2.5 billion.
The cap is still a cap, and it's a technical one rather than an economic one. Plenty of pages load every pet you own along with their minions, treasure, and weapons, so a page that's quick at 20 pets can time out at 140. That's what stands between you and 50 slots, and it's work I have to do (more pagination!!) before the number moves much further. Three at a time is me checking that nothing catches fire.

(And there are some situations where we changed the art for personnel reasons and wouldn't want to have the old art on the site, and needing to explain why a generation of pet art for specific species isn't available in retro is awkward)
i'm good on pet slots for now (too indecisive to know what to do with the handful i have as-is lol) but i'm glad for those who desire more of them!
YES! I am so happy! I can finally get more pets! My current total of 140 is simply not enough. For me, that is XD

Oooooo as a medium pet hoarder I'm v excited about the new price. I bailed on MC slots as soon as I hit the first threshold where one cost more than the sP cost of CSC cards to buy the other way, so I have a lot of these still available and I'm excited to grab like 10
I don't need any more slots but if I did I'd just wait for my loyalty box. But this is nice for people who want more or can't wait.
as part of the problem, sorry ! and thanks. I'd interested in having inactive pets or whatever that only have pet pages, but aren't available to do regular things. I'm a pet addict, but sometimes they are just done for a while.
y'all have no idea how much i suffered being trapped at work, waiting to get home and think more carefully on what to do with my new pets...!! i can only hope this goes well and does not break the site, and i can soon spend a paycheck on pet slots ;P

no complaints on the price change! it's funny, the prices being so high before gave me a reason to actually have to earn sP and save up, so i almost appreciated them in a way, lol; re-earning sP i spent on MC slots always was great for getting me to do more on the site than mess around with pets, lol. but i mean, now i have to just get back to stockpiling more sP in case more MC slots are added... after this, i can't be too ready

Hell, my only disappointement is that we don't get more CSC slots to help the site get more funds, but I 100% get why Keith wants to go slow. It's probably surprising to see the number of pages that are calling things like pet scrolls and pet minions where it's not really needed.
We haven't gotten new slots in a year - last we got were in March 2025. That's a really needed boon to pet lovers, so really. The only punishment is to decide WHAT to get in these slots.

I haven't been able to fill all my pet slots since the massively expanded limits of recent times, but I will buy more slots and dream, and perhaps watch my system catch fire in the process. XD

I don't feel that way, and don't think that users who've maxed it out feel that way -- considering these three new slots are significantly cheaper. It seems like most folks who've maxed out are just happy to get more slots.
Not that I am part of the group, but feels like a punishment to users who had maxed out their MC slots
Would there be a way to like... segregate 'inactive' or 'lower priority' pets that don't need to show up in pet selection drop down menus, feeding/reading/playing lists, etc? Not retiring the pet, but I only have so many pets I'm actively working on at once, and those are the ones I'd like to show up in those menus, the others showing up is actually kind of annoying and tbh, a deterrent to buying more pet slots, even though I'd like more pets!
Awesome!!! Finally it is fair. Before I just felt gouged and cheated. This is nice. But it is soooo ironic that once I achieved 103 slots and wanted more I couldn't buy them, and now I can buy them, but I'm trying to decrease the number of pets I have from 80 to 50. lmao!!!
