It missed people often enough that I was granting the item by hand a few times a month to anyone who wrote in, which is not a system so much as me being the system.
So it works differently now. On the day your subscription renews, you get 1 Subscription Point, and you spend it yourself.
Take it to the Subscription Shop. Every item in there costs exactly one point, including the month's new item. Points don't expire and nothing ever leaves the shop, so if this month's item isn't for you, hold the point until something you want shows up. Quester, Councilor, and Goddess all earn a point per renewal. Keeper does not.
Every item also has a 500 CSC price next to the point price. Cash Shop sales apply to it. This is mostly so the older items keep circulating: a lot of them have been effectively out of print for years.

I signed up for Quester when the news broke, but I didn''t get a subscription point. Should I open a ticket? Or are the points not live yet?
I love this new subscription thing! I have a few on my wishlist, so it's nice I don't have to spend extra CSC on these <3

@BoaConstrictor I don't think that the monthly item is a huge source of income for any subscriber from selling to other users, and would be interested to hear if that is the case. I think making it so that they cost 500CSC actually increases the value of those items, that have not sold for that amount (because they are part of a, in most cases, $5 subscription).
Yes - anyone can see the page, and anyone can spend 500CSC (which hopefully instead encourages them to get a subscription) or still buy it from another user for less than 500CSC, which is what they were going for before :)

I actually love this! While the art is always absolutely beyond beautiful no matter the item, sometimes they are just not my style and I just throw it in my wardrobe because it was given to me and that's where it'll sit untouched for the rest of time lmao. This way, I can use my points given for other items in that shop that have been on my wishlist for a while when I'm not really feeling the new one. Thanks for all the fresh new ideas, y'all are cooking!
