Compost Heap is Back!
At 50 composted, each account can pick one of six new Compostable Tea Bags. You can change your tea bag to any of the six forms from your inventory and in the new wardrobe, using the transform feature. You unlock them at 50, 125, 250, 425, 650, 925, 1,275, 1,625 composted.
- 25 composted: Recycle Beast: Starstruck
- 75 composted: Torrey: Hi
- 150 composted: Ruffie: Hello
- 225 composted: Cinthia: Proud
- 300 composted: Qazim: Grateful
- 450 composted: Glade (avatar border)
The older item prizes return at 100, 350, 750, and 1,250 composted, with one pick at each milestone. There are also achievement reactions and community name plates to work toward.
The Prizes tab has the full reward list. Use Max beside an item to fill its quantity up to your remaining daily allowance.
Composting runs through November 30, and you can claim earned item prizes after the heap closes.

And to expand on my previous comment, it feels less like a reward and more like a punishment saying that they should be expensive because reasons. If people have collected enough items to compost to get all of the rewards and achievements, then why not just give out the rewards? Having limited items that we can't even collect makes it feel less fun, and may also make people feel like well why bother so much in the future if we won't even be able to get everything anyway?
An item that you need at least 7 copies of is the wrong type of item to make account limited. It's already valuable on the account of it being a food and wearable at the same time. I need 12 copies if I want them all feed to my pet and all of them for my cat gallery.
So now there's some teabags up for auction by the Subetateam, and we have to pay probable millions for something that we should be able to earn . . . ? Why did I bother to click on a thousand floating pumpkins, then?

having things that are harder to get is nice but i feel like thats a little too hard. are we supposed to wait 6 years to get one of each for gourmand pets? and that's even if they stay year after year...

The SubetaTeam has find an extra storage of the tea bags and has put them up for auction. This is one very fast way that I have to get more of them out. I am going to be monitoring the item counts over the next few days (like I said), and if it looks like it will be impossible or extremely expensive to feed all of them to a gourmand pet, I will continue to make tweaks, like I do on every feature on the site.
This just launched! I appreciate the immediate feedback and the suggestions for how to tweak it (one a week is a good idea, thank you!) but I'm also going to step away for a bit because I'd like to see the numbers, how quickly they go up for sale, how many get eaten immediately, etc before I start making big changes.

If you increase the amount of items by 50 to get another tea bag (50 for your first, then 100 for your second, then 150 and so on), a person that composts the max amount every day can get eight bags for 1800 items total. That's 6 to feed your pet, one in the wardrobe and one to do whatever you want with it.
Only those players that diligently composted the maximum possible amount of items would get all those copies, making the items both accessible but also properly rewarding the hard workers.

The tea bags are awesome! but Limiting it to just one per account seems very..... well not in the spirit of the site. How do you get a full wardrobe collection? How do you get them all fed to your pet?
I think we should be allowed at least 2 of the tea bags. We need one to feed our pet, and one to wear. It seems more than fair imo.
maybe instead of redeeming one per account, it could be one tea bag a week? that still takes takes three(?) years to finish solo, at minimum, people could coordinate with others to get the ones they want, and since people could buy dupes it would help distribute wealth better when they do get resold instead of "you better be willing to pay dearly for my one exclusive tea bag!" prices, which sound insane. I believe the phrasing "one per account" immediately brings up people's "well, why should I even bother?" response emotionally, even if I understand it logically
I really want to be excited about all the cool stuff about this but instead I can't help but fixate on how annoying it is that there's a multiple-use item that we need multiples of and we can only earn one, so we're just going to have to pay out the wazoo for the copies we need from other users if we can even find them for sale. This is not fun. It doesn't make it "ooh a fun challenge to get to decide which use is more important to us, whee" it's just disappointing and aggravating. Would be better if there was a way to earn more of them, even if it was challenging. Actually challenging like playing a hard game challenging, not making a tough choice "challenging".
Why weren't "an item from this shelf" points transferred over when this was re-done? I have one prize left to redeem from the last time, but it's not giving me that option. I suspect there are others like me that didn't redeem all of their prizes. I'm creating a ticket.
Glad to see this return! But will the community prizes from 2024 also be made available again? They were all not items, so anyone who missed composting in 2024 doesn't have the opportunity to acquire them. There was the Recycle Beast Smooch reaction (

I feel dumb, I just noticed they are cats, I really thought the one I picked was a possum. So, um, I miiiight want that in my wardrobe after all.
Ate the tea bags edible? Because if they are, then how are we supposed to get more of them to feed to our pets? Will they be made available in other events?
Just wish they weren't edible if they're going to be that exclusive. More for the 'never going to be obtainable' pile, I guess. The cats are really cute so I won't even be gourmanding the one I got.

Yes, it's one per account :) It's the first to unlock (over 100 users already have one!) at a very, very low amount so I'm going to monitor how many go out. I'm trying different things in the last few events with trying to distribute items and see how we can have them retain value / be something worth holding on to or selling -- and these are meant to be expensive, outside of the one that you've chosen.
I had one prize from previous years that I had not claimed. I don't see that it's there any longer. I should get credit for that since nobody said to spend the points. Let me know if I need to file a ticket. Thanks.
This is cute but the tea bags being edible and yet only being able to receive one per account is a bit of a pain when there are 6 of them.
