Compost Heap is Back!
At 50 composted, each account can pick one of six new Compostable Tea Bags. You can change your tea bag to any of the six forms from your inventory and in the new wardrobe, using the transform feature. You unlock them at 50, 125, 250, 425, 650, 925, 1,275, 1,625 composted.
- 25 composted: Recycle Beast: Starstruck
- 75 composted: Torrey: Hi
- 150 composted: Ruffie: Hello
- 225 composted: Cinthia: Proud
- 300 composted: Qazim: Grateful
- 450 composted: Glade (avatar border)
The older item prizes return at 100, 350, 750, and 1,250 composted, with one pick at each milestone. There are also achievement reactions and community name plates to work toward.
The Prizes tab has the full reward list. Use Max beside an item to fill its quantity up to your remaining daily allowance.
Composting runs through November 30, and you can claim earned item prizes after the heap closes.

Oooo - how fun! I like these kinds of "follow-up" events, where an overload of items like the free-floating pumpkins or excess candy can be useful in new ways once you've already hit your max with using them for their original purpose.
Just took a look and the prize page looks so good! I love how clearly everything is laid out, and how easy it is to understand/ track.
I haven't been around for a while, so I'm assuming this has been updated from previous iterations of the event - excited to explore it!

@Beldam i don't think it is going to change, as the beasts accepts all morostide food items right now.

My son! I don't typically collect lurbies, but I adore this one and need to have all of them.

This art is amazing, but after getting Pumpkin Deleter, I don't have nearly enough items to compost... Oopsie! 😅
If the compost goes for a few weeks it would be nice to have the link/button to it on the news page with the other buttons.

This is really cool! I like that there are community-wide unlocks, too, where all the composted items for all users contribute to milestones. Thanks for this new feature!

Holy cosmetic items!! The jar lantern and mushroom ring nameplates are so cute and the compost heap having an ANIMATED WORM(!) kills me. :sob: Killer QoL additions with the compost page pulling from all your available items and letting you compost the maximum amount from vaults/shops.
Very hype to have a way to get rid of all these super common moro items that isn't just fragging them all and get a bunch of cool stuff from it!
I came back from hiatus in 2025 so this is my first year getting to compost. I’m so excited!! I’ve been saving pumpkins all Moro!!
@Keith Thank you so much for changing it so we can earn multiple teabags and for doing it so quickly! I apologize for piling on too but I guess that kind of feedback is how you find out changes are needed. I didn't mean to make you feel bad after all your hard work on this feature though; I am really very sorry. Thank you for all you do for us!

looks at my over 10k horde of pumpkins I don't have a problem at all... At least I'm not attached to them so I can compost them.
Thanks for all the effort you put into this, Keith! A week building this is a massive amount of work. 
I love the community projects, so composting needing everyone to chip in to reach a goal together are the things that build a community. (and complaining together, that too, lol)

I am one of those that will feed EVERYTHING to my Gourmand so I would need all 6 cats and would have been disappointed but also "Eh, guess I have to wait or buy for expensive amount at some point" and not complained.
They sure are cute, but I am not that big of a wardrobe person! :)

Sorry for the pile-on Keith, it's just the knee-jerk reaction from most people as I know a lot of us like to collect everything so this kind of distribution for items with multiple uses just doesn't feel right (and I appreciate you for acknowledging that and coming up with ways to get more out).
For some more positive, the items themselves are really cute and I'm glad we can finally get those older items that never got released! It's also nice that the page tells us whether we're pulling from our vault or our inventory so we can make sure we're not getting rid of something we want to keep.

Transformable items you can switch around in your wardrobe. So you can choose any of the other colour teabags and switch them around to wear as you please. (there are several other items that tranform as well - like the wigs in the monthly collections that have 2 versions)

@brokensafety No worries at all - your prizes are safe in a `compost-24` field in the database, so I'm figuring out how to make it so you can claim things from years past still, it'll be a little wonky but will work!

The distribution of the tea bags is going to change. I can't change it immediately, it takes programming and time. Putting them in the auction house takes a click, and I said in my post that it was the quickest and easiest thing I can do. It adds an additional 300 of them to the site economy right away (when the auctions end), and when we've done these bulk auctions in the past they tend to go for very reasonable prices.
I said I don't get it right first every time, and now these comments are just about this single failure which is a bummer for me, so I'm going to take a step away for a bit, the distribution will change soon.

@Keith Thank you! I already created the ticket, as I was panicking hardcore (especially with all this discussion about other limited prizes.) I have amended my ticket to disregard.
