Sebastian Phoenix has been tinkering away all weekend on a plan to raise the User Shop Limit to 50,000,000sP per item. He worked very hard, and the Subeta Senate passed it without any problem, as long as it continues to benefit the economy.
For those of you will run around screaming like you've just had your heads chopped off that this will ruin the trades. The trades are for trading. As in, items. For items. And other items. And maybe sometimes.. more items.

There's an easy way to beat out the undercutters: buy their stuff and try sell it at whatever price you want. (Or undercut under them...I'm sure you probably didn't spend THAT much on it either.)<br />
<br />
Personally, I'm glad that the limit has gone up. I do occassionally get expensive stuff for item hunt, and a couple shop limits ago, I couldn't complete them very well; it was rather annoying.<br />
<br />
Now I have all this stuff saved up from when trades weren't working for me (I use IE) that I don't have to trade! I can just stuff it in my shop and someone can buy it! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

That's wonderful!! I started to wonder about that "Sp only' junk all over the trades. I'm glad the shops are at a higher sp limit which Will limit the trades to their original purpose! Thank you so much!!
Cute plushie!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! !<br />
Though I thought that said 5,000,000 before I read it again and almost didn't fall off my chair. Wise words!

On the plus side, when items are in my shop I don't have to deal with events from impatient people who offer and then retract 2 minutes later while I'm grabbing food or using the restroom because they need the item RIGHT THIS SECOND AND NOT A SECOND MORE!<br />
<br />
Phew.
<br />
Phew.

Ohh...I like this.<br />
Now I won't have to stalk all the Online traders when I'm too impatient to wait to get my items.

*looks through his Vault for rare/expensive items to sell before they all drop to 1 sP each...
Oh, yeah. That would be great. I'm really looking forward to that change. That would let me use Trades for just... trading... and my shopping for selling.

I don't mind this idea, but I think 50 million is a bit much. Perhaps 30. I don't know. But anyway, the more I think about it, the better the idea sounds. No more haggling. Happy days!
Sure hope that you change the autopricer to reflect this change <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Great. Now, instead of paying 500k for a r50 items I will have to pay millions <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sigh.gif" border="0" />U

Well, I don't know - trades are almost obsolete by now already! You can hardly get rid of your items anymore, everybody wants cash only and puts their wares into shops. I don't think I like that. Poor people will never be able to get the things they want.

Wait. isn't there a limit to Shop Tills? If you have over a certain number of sP and withdraw it all, your account, goes boom?<br />
:S<br />
Wouldn't this make it WAY easier to rack up tills, and there for risk whatever happens?

wolfpaw, i know. but there are such items as the lucent and infinite that are worth a lot more than 50mill and im sure sellers might not want all items for such an expensive item.

By the way, if the trades are for items for items and sometimes more items ONLY, how am I ever supposed to get my Shinigami? Do I just build up a nickel and dime stockpile of items that are worth several less million at some times than at others, and hope someone, somewhere wants just the combination I have? Somehow, I don't think you've thought your cunning plan all the way through.

Yes but at the same time, removing the Sp option would hurt higher priced items when it comes to selling them. Items that cost 50+ mill aren't going to be found in shops for 50 mill, not if it's -that- rare. So in that situation you're hurting the seller.

for KITA...this is what keith posted : For those of you will run around screaming like you've just had your heads chopped off that this will ruin the trades. The trades are for trading. As in, items. For items. And other items. And maybe sometimes.. more items.<br />
<br />
so that is why I asked if the Sp option was going to be removed from trades

i think that theory was lost a while ago>.><br />

yay!!! I have been hoping for this all along. imho items will finally be priced at what they are actually worth...I dont think it is that hard to contact a seller about an item in their shop and offer a trade or trade plus pure....except perhaps for all the people who have the friendly sarcasm note in their trades daring anyone to comment or mail them, lol!
I love the new option. Some of the sellers are real autocrats so it would be a real pleasure to avoid doing business with them.

50 mill is too much, I think...<br />
May be 5 mill, 10 mill... but 50?<br />
<br />
I don't know if is gonna work. If doesn't work, will be back the 1 mill limit?

"If something goes down (deflates) it's because it isn't selling at the price that it was originally at.<br />
<br />
This is a free market, you (the users) decide the prices of items. If it's worth 5k, it'll eventually get that far in user shops. Even if it is r99."<br />
<br />
And what about the R50s that are also worth 5k, that suddenly ended up selling in user shops for 350k because suddenly, people could do that without having to make a trade for it? What I'm saying is that this kind of adjustment is most definitely a double-edged sword, and at the same time that people see their R99s plummet in value, other people will be raping them up the ass for a R48.

Keith, are ya all gonna remove the Sp option from trades so that it will be only item for item trades then...it would really make this all work so much better then if you did just my two cents worth<br />
<br />

<br />
The how will people trade sP for higher priced items? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sigh.gif" border="0" />

There goes the neighborhood... x__x<br />
<br />
<br />
My opinion, the sP option should stay in trades.. if you are buying something worth 10m with an 8m item and needed to add the extra 2m in sP, it would be easiest if the option of sP is still there.

I'm good with this :3 I prefer trading for pure, and buying with pure anyways. goes to toss items into her shop

Mrrr, way to battle inflation Sebastian. clap clap I'm excited.<br />
<br />
And for those of you who whine about an item not being a ridiculously high price anymore... remember, you won't need a ridiculously high amount of Sp to get what you want anymore. It evens out.

Pink Long-Haired Wig? Maybe one day <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /> but not for some time

Ack! Thank-you. I am getting SO sick of seeing so many trades "pure only" so yay! ...I just hope my items don't decrease too much in value (I know you say as long as it benefits the economy, but I've noticed a drop in a lot of my items prices) <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_heart.gif" border="0" />

cool <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> Now I'm back to saving points. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /> still, it's good to have both happy on a sale I think. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Considering I prefer pure for my items, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, I predict undercutters will have a field day with ruining profits and devaluing items. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" /> On one hand, I can see the benefit from a buyer's point of view, but on the other... super rare items may deflate drastically. It'll mean a bit more work for people to keep prices reasonable with supply and demand fluctuations without making certain items nearly worthless when they shouldn't be. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_xface.gif" border="0" />
How about setting the auto-price limit to 1 mil instead of the current 250,000sp? That will be cool too on top of this new update. =]
Sebastian is so smart! (And cute! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" />)
