Tomorrow evening (From 4PM-8PM Subeta Time) we will be clearing expired account names, and pet names.
This is what will be removed:
- Frozen accounts over 8 months.
- Unfrozen inactive accounts over 12 months.

@Kyphoscoliosis Actually removing a few thousand accounts from the database won't really improve any speed. Computers are designed to handle 1,000s of files (millions even). It's a common misconception that "too much stuff on my computer" makes things "slow". While one could argue that with mySQL having more rows in the database makes queries slower, it's really only going to make a 1millisecond difference or so. (A millisecond is 1000th of a second). The amount of stuff on a computer has very little to do with speed. (However there are some rare cases where they can be linked, but in general hard drive space has nothing to do with speed). The best way to improve subeta speed would be to buy more servers, upgrade the specs of current servers, and/or optimize the code all around the site.
Both the ones I want are frozen, so...hopefully they're over 8 months <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" />
I wonder if all the old the old accounts will be putting all the old items in donation pleaseeeeeeeeeeee lol and the pets in adoption that would be even cooler if cooler is a word lol

This will not only clear up account and pet names for people, but it's going to take a HUGE load off these servers. There are literally thousands of people who haven't been on in a year, or are frozen and taking up space. This is wonderful. Finally, fast connections :3

The items are, unfortunately, deleted with the accounts so as not to flood the site, plus have an adverse affect on the economy. Also, some of the frozen accounts would have been frozen for cheating, which means the items on them would not have been obtained legitimately.
