Luckily, you can purchase the pieces separately, or choose to buy them together in the Shrinkwrapped Delish Pi Set or Shrinkwrapped Delish Mocha Set for a little less CSC!

I find it strange to hear that the items cost more to make than you get back, but I suppose asking you for even a ball-park estimate on either one is considered rude... meh. I think you should set all items to some base-price (say, 500 CSC) and then let them adjust automatically based on popularity. Wigs will soar to the thousands, socks and pants will fall to 2-3, and we will only have ourselves to blame.

While I would also love to see more male items, what we have to take into consideration is that the HA base itself is quite feminine. That, and there is simply not the same range of clothes you can make for men as you can women. I know the artists appreciate specific suggestions when it comes to wearables.
As for the price of this: calm down, dudes. If you don't want to buy them, don't. Do remember that you can also buy them with SP. No one is forcing you to spend your cash on Subeta if you think it's overpriced. Seriously now.

CannibalGoats is right. It wouldn't hurt no one if we had more male-oriented wearables, and not only eyes. I really like what Subeta has to offer in that regard, but it's just a fraction compared with the femenine items.

Wow, guess I should be glad that I don't like any of these items so don't have to worry about needing to buy them. Usually buy new trunks to sell but won't bother with these. I wish they would offer more trunks in separate pieces though, that's nice!

If it makes it simple, there is one clear reason why the prices are different: it's not a costume trunk, it's a line of designer clothing.
You can't buy separates of costume trunk items, because just like when it's sold as a costume set in real life, you usually don't buy separates. You get the package deal, because it's a costume.
Just like in real life designer clothing, you can buy the entire line or the outfit from that line, or you can buy separates.
It's not the same thing as a MCT. Yes, this is a site, and we can't truly compare it to real life, but I think if subeta is clever enough to tell us what stores host poor people clothes and what stores don't, then there can be a little bit of logical comparison.

If it's going to make you feel like a tool, or like you're being cheated, run far far away. Just like if you were buying a stained used shirt from a guy on the street corner, you need to decide if the item meets your expectations of value.

I'm not really sure how you've been tricked into a marketing scheme. The only marketing these clothes have had is a news post.
As I said, there are lots of options in the cash shop. Some things are inexpensive, some things are going to be expensive. If you choose not to purchase the expensive items, that's fine. If you choose to purchase them, that's fine also.

Ok to those saying that chic clothing (like for example a $900 skirt) is always more expensive --- isn't there typically a *reason* for that? For instance, there is a higher quality fabric used? Something that is softer, or more rare, or handcrafted? Or it is sewn to last a lifetime as opposed to what you'd find on a rack at Macy's or Target or Walmart? Something more tangible than just the designer's name? Exclusivity maybe? The point I'm trying to make is, these new subQ are not in more limited quantities than even the ones in the subQ shop, since anyone can buy as may as they want of them... at least as far as I can tell they can be as un-limited as any other item of clothing. So they aren't any more exclusive than MCT clothes, which are cheaper. Also, the "fabric" is of the same quality as ever other wearable on the site and costs no more no create. So.... my question then, is where is the added price justified compared to an item in an MCT?

gotta agree with @kask on a lot of her commentary, and the prices make me a bit uncomfortable. Yeah, I know, the gift of fashions past exists, it's not really any different yada yada. I'm not trying to be stingy with the site. Every month I spend quite a bit here. So, please don't accuse me of being cheap or of not supporting the site when I question the pricing of these items. It just strikes me as odd how their price is so much higher than the MCTs for essentially the same thing (rare wears)?

Everyone is complaining about these prices but they are actually very reasonable when you consider how much the more popular Subeautique pieces sell for. Argo Blackout Liquid Liner for example will run you about 11million sP. You can buy a 500 credit gift card for 8-9 million sp if you can not afford/choose not to purchase CSC with real money that 500 credits is enough for either both wigs or any 4 of the other items. If anything this set is a pretty good deal.
As for the set it self they are lovely <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> I hope to be able to pick them up from the cash shop soon.

If you don't want to spend the CSC on these, then don't. We're not forcing you to purchase them, and you've got a lot of other options in the cash shop to purchase. Absolutely gorgeous, but the prices are a bit much, especially when compared to some of the costume trunks. $10 and $12.50 for 10 and 12 items respectively, vesus $5.00 for 10-20 items.... I think I'll hold off on these.
