When Nothtri and Surako brought back the crystalline...thing from the deep forest, they had no idea what it was. All they knew was that it was very warm, and very, very heavy (as their aching backs had shown).

When they left it downstairs overnight and came back in the morning to check on it, they got an idea of what was in store for them. The thing that they brought back was in several large pieces, and sitting in the middle of those large pieces was a very sleepy Illumis. A very sleepy Illumis that looked up at Nothtri, who also happened to be an Illumis, and decided that he was its parent. While the cute little thing didn't say this outright, it pretty much made clear its intentions when it decided to follow Nothtri and Surako all over the place and start crying when it was hungry (as they later figured out). After a few hours of this, both of them were completely enamored with the little baby and decided to keep and raise it- no, her - as their own offspring, naming her Yumigami (after much deliberation between the two of them).

And so the couple threw themselves into raising her. Her clumsy six-footed walking became more coordinated and graceful after a few days, and a few weeks afterwards, she started getting the urges to fly, abandoning simply walking for hopping everywhere while feebly flapping her still underdeveloped and slightly crumpled wings. Surako gave her some crayons and paper on a whim, and Yumigami started making drawings of everything, especially her parents. Nothtri discovered that she liked having her feet tickled. Her happy squeals and buzzes became that one thing that made their day.

After a few months, Yumigami finally flew for the first time, something both parents were extremely proud of. Her maturation was not only physical, however. She had begun to develop a personality that was more than "really cute". Her curiosity seemed to have no bounds; this resulted in many things being messed with. She loved to travel to many different places, and her eyes always filled with a sort of wonder at the many different and alien things she would see. Nothtri and Surako also found out the hard way that she had also developed a love for sweet pastries - she would always try her very best to get them, locks and lids be damned.

Today, Yumigami is still a very young child. She is fond of talking in pictures (for some reason, she hardly uses words), and, of course, finding and eating sweets. Like all children, she is hyper one minute and then sleeping the next. She still retains her deep sense of curiosity, and attempts to sate it by reading picture books that her parents give her. Her best friend is her Illu, a Luminaire present given to her by her parents, who helps her out in her innocent mischief in her quests to find more sweets...or draw more pictures.
