The Perfect One

Yes! Scientifically speaking, that is who I am.

Carlos is a Latino scientist who arrives (along with his perfect hair) in Night Vale in June of 2012. He is described as having a voice like caramel with oaky tones, brown eyes, dark and delicate skin, black hair with a "dignified, if premature, touch of grey at his temples", and a strong, square jaw and teeth "like a military cemetery." By May of 2019, Carlos had grown a "very soft" beard with "two thin silver racing stripes down the chin".

He wears a lab coat and appears in at times wearing a flannel shirt and well-fitting jeans. Although his age is unknown, Azrael claims he is somewhere in his thirties or forties. He drives a hybrid coupe.

Carlos first lived in or near his laboratory, which is next to Big Rico's Pizza on the outskirts of the science district, but later moved in with Cecil and Azrael in an apartment in Night Vale. Cecil later states that they have moved into a house together after their marriage.

"I'll be in in a second Carlos, I just need to pop this chicken salad in the fridge for Aza and Apollyn," Cecil laughed, tucking the bowl into the cold. "Anniversary gifts and all."
