A creature from a distant world...Nock lacks the ability to communicate where she has came or why she had fallen from the sky. Her eyes contain 4 pupils, arranged in a crosshairs. Nock can only speak in a few words, and mimic familiar phrases like a parrot. Otherwise, she makes knocking & clicking sounds from her throat that she uses to echolocate with her four ears.
Nock's physiology suggests an apex predator: Sharp cloven hooves, photoreceptors at the base of the neck to detect changes in light from behind, four ears she can rotate independently of one another. Nock creates loud sounds from her throat, as if you were hitting two logs together. This combined with her ears make up her echolocation system...
The list continues with how much of Nock's form has been fine tuned to aim, track, and destroy. Krosherz is her adoptive father. He saw that, despite their massive stature difference, they had a similar skillset. As a pillar in his community, he argued how as a man of science, only Krosherz was capable of turning catastrophe after catastrophe into their saving grace. Krosherz made a promise that he could train this distant beast to become their true savior. With great reluctance, the professor was granted custody of the alien. First, he proclaimed to the court that she would hence be known as Knock, for her echolocation system. They went to immediate work putting methodology to her lethal instinct. IT was upon giving her a bow and arrow that Krosherz realized her name would be Nock, for her proficiency with archery.
He's unable to speak her language, but was able to teach her commands with a clicker. This is perhaps the closest he can get to speaking with her directly. From mentorship, it became apparent that she was capable of parroting voices, frequencies, and tones with extreme ease. This was until the surprise came, and he heard her crackle out her first spoken common to him, all of her own accord.
"FATHER! Krosherz...!" Nock proclaimed boomingly across an empty field of snow. His ears shot up at the immense volume of the proclamation. Silence fell over the expanse again as he realized she had finally spoken to him. It pulled on his heart strings and perhaps proposed more questions than answers, as any good scientist would feel. The professor was hesitant, but clicked back at her. "Yes! What an excellent job! I'm so proud of you, Nock."
