Dresden is an odd person, and he has so many sides of his personality that it is hard to tell which one is really him. He’s known to be rather charming and friendly to new people, or out in public. Sometimes he can be a little cocky or full of himself, but it usually seems to be rather harmless, and if anything, gain him the attention he wants. Dresden likes to know that he can lure people in with just a smile and a drink.

In his private life, another side of Dresden shows through. A tormented and lonely side which makes him hurt those around him. Almost in an instant, he can go from that charming man at the bar to a sadistic lunatic. Dresden likes control, he likes to keep what’s his, his. And the only way his troubled mind knows how to do so, is through fear.

While Dresden is abusive to his partners, somewhere deep down it’s how he shows he loves them. Because he’s gotten away with it so long, it is the only kind of love he is familiar with and therefore sees nothing wrong with it. He has recently, however, realized that he is in some dire need of help. So he tries, with the help of his new found 'family' of friends to keep himself calm and show his love in proper ways. Dresden has found that it's not necessary to hurt others to keep them close, in fact, it works quite the opposite.

Dresden didn’t have a very happy childhood and it’s probably the biggest reason for his troubled life now. His father was an alcoholic and constantly beat his mother and children. His mother was really no better, addicted to drugs and occasionally bringing another man into her husband’s bed. Growing up, Dresden wondered why the two even stayed together, let alone had children. Dresden’s older brother was his only real friend growing up, and he was more a parent to him than either his mother or father.

Some of his favorite memories include cooking with his brother, and to this day when he’s cooking is really the only time Dresden seems happy. However that all changed when his older brother was killed in a car accident driving home after going to get a present for Dresden’s 16th birthday. Dresden never forgave himself. And since then, he’s never been the same.

One year later he moved into an apartment with one of his brother’s friends. He never talked to his parents again, and he doesn’t even care to know if they’re still alive. He worked odd jobs for a while until he found a place at a restaurant willing to give him a job. While he wanted to cook, he was stuck bussing tables. All throughout this time Dresden brought home people to ease his loneliness. And when none could, he became angry and abusive which left him even more alone.

He worked for a couple years at the restaurant until he was allowed to become a waiter and that’s when he met Noruen, the bus boy they hired to replace him. He was instantly drawn to him. But like all his other relationships, it would end badly. He charmed his way into Noruen’s heart, then used his abusive and destructive nature to keep the other at his side. But it was not enough, the other managed to escape him, and Dresden tried to move on.

After more broken relationships, when Dresden turned twenty he wanted to try to change. Of course, this was not as easy as he wished it was. He wants to go to a culinary school, but he knows he has no way to afford it and has a deep-rooted fear of not being good enough.

Dresden came into contact with Noruen again through his habit of going to bars and clubs at night, completely by chance. He was furious to see him with another man, and happy at that, when he himself was miserable. He became distracted for a while by a dj working at the club named Devlin. He turned on his charms and wormed his way into the other's heart just as he had to everyone else. The two even shared relatively normal dates before something in Dresden's mind snapped again.

He secretly began to follow Noruen and his new boyfriend for a few nights at the club before finally lashing out, pushing the younger boy into the bar which resulted in a trip to the hospital. Dresden managed to leave the bar before anything could be done, deeply regretting his actions in front of Devlin and almost afraid of what would happen to Noruen. The other turned out fine after some surgical staples, but Devlin completely avoided every move Dresden made to contact or speak with him. Millian, Noruen's boyfriend, had relayed the story of Dresden's true nature to him after Noruen had told him. Dresden was at a complete loss. But he knew he wanted help. So he made a final plea to Devlin, showing up at his doorstep, literally. To his surprise, Devlin agreed to help him and the two have slowly been working it out.

Dresden has now made up with Noruen, accepting Millian, and has even made friends with Devlin's two friends, Preston and Casimiro. Devlin also gave him the courage to apply to a local culinary school, in which he was accepted and graduated from quite recently. The two bought a building near their shared apartment which they turned into a restaurant during the mornings and afternoons, and a dance club during the night. Dresden is doing what he always wanted, cooking, and Devlin handles entertainment for the club. They've hired Millian and Noruen as waiters, Preston works in the bar and helps Devlin with the business ends of things, and Casimiro is a greeter. Two other's, which have also become friends with the group, Kasper and his fiancee Cieran, have also applied. Kasper works the night shift as the bouncer, and Cieran both seats and waits, depending on the need.

All in all, Dresden's quite happy where he is in life now. He has a large group of friends, he's recently proposed to Devlin, and he's not had one violent episode since. He knows he's not completely cured, but he hopes with time he won't have to worry about that.
