Huitzil is much like a mixture of a dragon and a feathered serpent. His body is long and serpentine but with short legs and long, elegant, feathered wings. His body is covered in soft, downy, emerald green feathers with a dark green tail and hands/feet. Trailing from his head and tail tip are long, green-blue, irridescant plumes. His belly is scaled like a snakes, and of light green-blue hue. Huitzil's wings are emerald green on the top with green-blue in the middle and dark green tips. His eyes are a rich blue-green and slitted, unlike a snake his eyes do blink and have a third eyelid like most reptiles/birds. His tounge is forked and a dark green. A few, pink scars mar Huitzil's body, the most prominent on his face and lower jaw. He wears mesoamerican, golden jewelry.

Huitzil is youthful, brash, confident and a little full of himself. He's a righteous warrior and defender of the good, but can be very gung-ho when it comes to battle. His enthusiasm and zeal can be very infectious and Huitzil does like a good tussle, but would never cause serious harm to one who isn't evil. (He doesn't like to physically harm any goodly creatures who don't wish to fight, even for play.) Huitzil's most fatal flaw is his penchant for being very stubbron. It's an uphill battle to get him to change his mind about something once it's been made, and his tendancy to see things in terms of 'good and evil' can be troublesome.

Born into a fantasy Mesoamerican world Huitzilpilli started his life by being pulled into a holy war. It is said amonst his people that the god Quetzalcoatl made the feathered dragons to do his will on earth, many of his species are priests of the feathered serpent, or warriors who protect and defend the followers of their god. Ages ago it's said that the god Quetzalcoatl became sickened by the evils of the land, and the people following a plethora of wicked gods, namely Quetzalcoatl's nemesis Tezcatlipoca, who demanded living sacrifices and the feathered dragons took the followers of the few good deities under their wings to protect them from the creulty of the priests and followers of the rival gods.
Thus was Huitzil born into this holy war that existed for ages, and quickly began to follow the path of a holy warrior, and defender of the innocent. Organizing guerrilla attacks, and crusades in his jungle home Huitzil was seen as a young dragon with promise. He has more then a few scars that mark his body that he deems as prizes of his battles. (Many were gained fighting non-human opponents, such as the humanoid camazotz bats, and jaguar shapeshifters.)
It was during his juvenile years that his older sister, Quetzalteotl who had been belived dead, returned hom with two hatchlings. She told stories of lands far away filled with dragons of different types, strange cultures, clothing, traditions and societies, and her own story of love and loss. Huitzil helped by being a male figure in the lives of his sister's children, and, years later, when she decided to return to this other land of dragons Huitzilpilli chose to accompany her. An opportunity like this one is rare, and he hopes to gain allies to return home with him to help turn the tide of war.
