@Lexy
Your comments were downright disgusting, rude and hurtful. I'm sure you'd take to those kinds of comments greatly if they were done to you, now, wouldn't you?!? NOT!!! You need to get an attitude adjustment XS

Awww, I was going to make a beast HA for morostide/HA contest, but now I'll have to think of something else.
I do really love this trunk, though!!
Thanks for this :)

...I'm pretty sure hitting the "post" button instead of clicking in the text box is one of the most special things I've ever done. /facepalm

@Freckles makes a very good point, while most of us automatically think of the Disney VERSION of these classic fairy tales because that's what we grew up with, Disney themselves didn't write them. They just create animated movies based on the tales, the designs, outfits and any new characters they then create for their TAKE on the story are copyright to them...but they don't own the story. Even "The Lion King", which is in my opinion their most original work of art, has heavy references to "Hamlet" (and then there's the whole "Kimba the White Lion" debate) The tale of "Beauty and the Beast" has been around since the 1700's...I suggest you do a little research on it and see how different the original story, and the characters designs, are in comparison to the Disney version. I'm not surprised or disappointed in the least that this set doesn't exactly match the Disney version. The artist did exactly what the Disney artists did, they created their own artistic take on some classic fairy tale characters (with some reference to our favorite version of the tale)
omg... I love it!
I have to have this trunk. And it will help because I was planning on dressing my avatar as Belle for Moroside.
I hope I don't have to think of something else now though...

both are amaaazzziinngg! and oh my lord! the details in the beast fur! and the backgrounds! i don't know which i would like to get! probably both. especially the separateness of beauty's ball dress, very useful and nifty! and the yellow dress with the apron? that boy is all sorts of goreous if you remove the ... can't thing of the word... thingy! the white thingy. man i am dumb. =) but these really are nice sets. super pretty. and her smile is gorgeous. i like how her eyes slant just so and the mouth looks more like a unique smile, it looks fine in the place it is~ =)
Lol wow, so much nitpicking and downright rudeness on here! xDDDD Disney's isn't the ONLY version, ya know....
Some of these items look pretty neat!! I like Beast's background! I don't use female items so everything people are nitpicking about don't bother me. XD

Why are people being really, REALLY rude? It looks fantastic!
They used different color schemes because if it was IDENTICAL, like everyone apparently wants it, then that would be copyright. Come on people.

Oh and the Beast set is awesome, I love that those tufts of fur and everything is separate
instead of being one costume! ^_^

The floor tiles of the ballroom look like a happy Dr. Robotnik face while peeking under her dress! XD

I agree with some of the comments here. The art is wonderful and the shading is awesome. I'm not really too picky about the whole "color of the day dress" thing. But the lips do seem off center though which bugs me, and something about her ballgown seems off. Both the colors of it and the style....I don't know, something about it doesn't work for me. Overall a beautiful set though, Beast's set is kick-butt. :)

Love the idea of a Beauty and the Beast theme, and some very cute outfits here! The Disney notes in the design are a great touch, but I'm always glad to see that things aren't copied outright by the artists, that they add their own unique touch (and blend in other versions of the story).
I look forward to buying some fun pieces from this trunk!

OH MY GOD I HAVE TO HAVE THIS. Belle is my favorite out of Disney's princesses! I've always had a lot in common with her. <3

I don't like to downplay Disney's influence on most of our fairy tales. Their take on Beauty and the Beast is the most noticeable in the design because Disney's is by far the most well-known version of the story. Your average person is typically going to know their Disney fairly tale versions much better than their older counterparts or originals.
I'm not really disappointed, as I'm mindful of the fact that Subeta usually does avoid being too similar because of the copyright issues. Plus I really, really love the backdrops.

Not a huge fan of Belle's set, as I've never cared for Belle in general, but Beast looks absolutely marvelous. owo

Well, to me, the gold of the bodice doesn't match the golden tone of the skirt on the gown. But that's just nit-picking.
I personally don't see why everyone is complaining that much. Sure, the different color of Belle's dress cought me off guard at first, too, simply because a small voice in my head says it ought to be blue, it always has - but then again, the majority of her clothes in this set is either gold or white, so the dress would have stood out rather awkwardly had it been blue.
I actually find the shading well done on most of these items as well. There is something that bugs me about that balldress skirt, though - I can't quite place my finger on it right now, though it might be that the upper band just makes it look unbalanced or something.
I also like how beast's fur is spread out over various items - it seems worth buying this trunk just for the layering possibilities of that, it could help a lot with antropomorphic HAs.

The biggest thing I noticed is that Belle looks like she has no chest whatsoever in the bodice of the ball gown.
It would have been nice to have the Beast also have some "Man" items, instead of pure beast...I mean, he does transform, right? :)

I for one think the art is gorgeous. I understand why the colors can't be identical to the original and I think the very talented artist made it work wonderfully ^_^
I definitely plan to buy this trunk for the Beauty set
Keep up the good work!
Lots of love :)

I agree with the other people that are unimpressed on:
-Beast could be more beast-y though I can relent on this since I guess they tried to make the items more easily usable across the board.
- Wrong colours used in places.
- Art seems very flat and dull and it's not the first time I've not enjoyed this artist's things (that hopefully doesn't sound TOO harsh, just stating the truth.)

The outfits aren't 100% Disney, partly for copyright issues and partly because it wasn't just based off of Disney Beauty and the Beast. It has a lot of different interpretations, so there are actually bits of several reincarnations of Beauty and the Beast in both genders -- Disney just seems to be the most easily noticeable! :)

The idea with the beast avatar is amazing, good work!
I dislike the females version, though.
It doesn't look that "wow" to me, you know. Not like that amazing dress of the movie.
I think it could have be done better.
Nevertheless, I like this trunk.

It feels a little weird for some reason. I think someone else already mentioned how it looks a bit cartoony. And of course the obvious details already stated. It's nice though, I love Disney princesses and I love references to them on Subeta almost as much. :)

I love this ! I adore Disney, and the fact that we're getting the movie versions of some sets as trunks, and then artist renditions (mixed with a musical artist) in the Giselle sets REALLY makes me happy (I LOVE YOU RAH) !
I also find it highly entertaining that somebody that is really not all that good at art is being a down right cunt to this artist. Keep truckin', amazing Subeta artist.

Wow...why do people feel the need to slam the artist? I think everything is very well made here, and it's not suppose to look exactly like the disney version...as others said...copyright issues and such...personally I'm in love with the beast items and must save up for those paws. :D
i'm pretty sure the only thing that would be nicer than these wearables would be the shutting-up of the people who seem to think themselves art critics. please learn to realize that, regardless of whether you, personally, enjoy the style, subeta's artists put in serious effort to creating these images for the user's use and enjoyment, not the user's sugar-coated (or just blatantly rude) criticism. also, @ everyone being overly particular about details? there's this thing called copyright that it's best not to infringe on. just saying.
Why is her regular dress yellow? Belle is my ultimate favorite Disney character and it's a bummer to see her portrayed as thus.

I'm really surprised by how much I don't like this. Not crazy about the wearable appearance in many cases, although I could probably get over that if the Belle looks were even close to accurate. Most of the Snow White stuff we have on site is very accurate (probably because Rah insists :p), really really let down this wasn't given the same treatment.
It's the same way with Halloween costumes... Belle always gets the shaft :c

what the hell? You can give critique without being rude. You're free to dislike a certain artist's style but your post was completely unnecessary.
