Discontinuation of the Trivia
After careful consideration, Subeta has decided to discontinue the trivia. The Blue Building requirements have been changed to reflect this change. Instead of having to complete 10 trivias, you will now need to have at least 250 achievements. Also please note that you will NOT lose access to the Blue Building if you do not meet this new requirement. Once a member, always a member!
Old trivia prizes will also make a comeback at some point via the Crystal Shop. :)

I like the trivia and am sad to hear that it is being removed. :( I was always excited to get to try my chance at a rarer/different item. It was sort of like the token shop, but I actually got a chance at getting the items.
Hm, that's a surprise. I was not a huge fan of the trivia but I still liked it somehow (though it's great to be able to maybe catch the Trivia items in the Crystal Shop).
This is a massive shame, I think that the trivia really helped newer (and older) users to find out more about Subeta's history and was a really fun little information hunt. I can't think of any good reason for its removal (although I'm sure there was one!) so it would be great to hear why it had to be cut.
Now there's a definite challenge of me getting to the Building... another 123 achievements to go! ;0
...another popular decision, I see. Really, would it have been so hard to give a few weeks' notice and tell us it would be stopping at the end of the year, or something, instead of just arbitrarily removing it in the middle of a trivia?
Also what kind of explanation is 'well, some people were cheating, and there were other issues too'? Either do a Neo and tell us nothing, or act like the old Subeta of years ago and tell us everything. Please stop with the vague half-explanations, it's more annoying than not being told anything at all in my opinion.

ive only been on subeta since the summer so, the trivia going doesnt really bother me too much. but i would have liked to get the achievements. plus the couple trivias i completed correctly gave me good prizes. at least i can get into the blue building easier now, i was looking at another 7 weeks before getting in there (and thats if i answered the next 7 weeks trivia questions correctly).
Man, i loved trivia. I hope it will come back, or i hope for a better explaination. Im sure the subeta team has a valid reason/s.

I really love the trivia, it's kinda the only game I play on here, and I love that I had to dig into archives and such in order to find the answers.

Sorry I should have worded that better, not EVERYONE is being disrespectful.
But there are quite a number of people saying "If you really take off trivia like this then I fear for the future" or "Trivia was the only thing I liked I'm not coming on anymore" I'm talking about those people. Its fine if you're a bit sad or upset, but when you say stuff like that then its going to far. Or the people saying "Subeta doesn't take user input into account anymore." That's hogwash and also really disrespectful.
Plus those people have to look at it from the staff's view, they were getting complaints no matter what they did on trivia. If I were in their situation I would probably take it away to with how disrespectful and complaining people were about it before.

Umm, okay, I'm not trying to be disrespectful x/ I'm not usually one to give staff grief (I guess?) and I don't intend to start now, if trivia really had to go then I guess there is no helping it. I am still a bit disappointed in how my achievements ended up and generally sad to see that feature go.
Awww. :( I'm sorry but the trivias were actually something that made this site different and cool. People looked forward to trying to find the answers, and with so many disagreeing with this decision I'm sure you'll reconsider. When I first started this site I tried EXTREMELY hard to get the answers to enter the blue building so I can't imagine how those who were close to entering feel now. I feel the users should have had an input in this before making such a big decision, but that's just my twocents.
Sad days, I was super excited when it started being updated reliably each week. I've had my share of answers that I felt were right, or that I felt I missed due to poor wording in the question, but I didn't bother making a ticket or anything because it's no big deal really. It's too bad that not enough users answered the trivia for you guys to feel like it was worth keeping, and that there was enough complaining/cheating/other issues from our small numbers to warrant scraping the game. I never bother to learn much about the site unless prompted and outside of the trivia that has only happened with the cruise plot. I hope you do get to use it seasonally, maybe we could have a 'Subeta Squares' tournament! ^_^ (hollywood squares spoof for anyone as slow as me)
And I do really want to get into fragging, but every time it restocks the items cost a crazy amount of crystals and its daunting to think of coming up with that many when the few times I've fragged I got less than ten crystals from alllll the items I zapped. I'm excited that old prizes will be available at all though and I hope they'll be elsewhere as well :D Maybe some of the more common ones that are cheap already or any that get super inflated could RS for a relatively low amount of crystals (say under 100).

It seems like I'm in the minority but I'm fine with trivia being cancelled. To be honest, the recent trivia questions have rarely taken up much time and are becoming less and less creative. Instead of an actual puzzle, they have become a weekly Google or Subetalodge search. Considering it only took about 10 minutes of my time, I can't say that it impacted my life enough to warrant more than minor disappointment.
I find it rather upsetting how many people are totally disrespecting Keith and the staff over a little tiny thing such as trivia. Honestly guys i'm sure this wasn't the one any only saving grace subeta had. It it was then fine, leave, but you don't have to be rude about it to the staff members. Did people ever think about the fact that it might have been causing problems on the staffs end to. I've seen there were actually a lot of issues with trivia, plus the amount of people that posted on the forums saying it was unfair, to hard to easy or just plain complaining were getting way out of control and just getting to the point of bring ridiculous...

You nee to realize that not everything can go up for user review, especially not something as tiny as trivia. If you look at in in the big picture much of subetas population probably didn't even take part in trivia. The only people posting on here it seams are the ones that took part in it, and while yes it does look like a large amount of people, if you compare it to subeta's actual population you'll probably realize that its minuscule.
Give the guys a break, they are only trying to make things better on subeta and if Trivia was causing problems on their end or they just couldn't keep up with it anymore then its their right to do with it what they please. I thought the subeta community was better than this. I for one am a little sad to see it go but at the same time if things need to be made then it must happen. The loss of trivia isn't going to ruin my enjoyment here. Though the way people are currently acting might.

so first you change how subeautique is done but its still the same people getting the items ahead of others,i think a limit should be put on the number of invites that people can use each day to make it more fair. now you are getting rid of trivia,i hope you have some other things planned for the site because the most recent changes are really making me less interested in being here.
A really disappointing decision, I hope this is reconsidered seeing as how many user seem to agree with me!
With each bad arbitrary decision I get more and more disgusted and spend less and less time on this site. It's starting to disgust me, really.
I am very upset to see Trivia go. I always looked forward to hunting for the answers and was pretty proud of the number of Trivia questions that I managed to get right. Sure, there will always be some cheaters but why punish those of us that LIKE doing the trivia for what some unfortunate people choose to do? I agree with Debi... I feel like you have totally ignored how the users feel about it. Why no poll or such to get some input before you chose to discontinue it? Yes, I do realize we do not own this site, but many of us DO pay to play here.
Darn, I always enjoyed hunting for the answers. Learned more about Subeta from researching for trivia answers than anything else. Plus I dislike that the prize items are going to the Crystal shop. I frag and frag and get NADA!!!, and everything is so expensive in there! Gonna miss Trivia.

I can't complain about this... trivia was nice, but I remember back when I was still trying to gain access it took FOREVER because trivia like never got updated. I don't know if that's changed since when I tried to get in since I don't do trivia normally but it was a huge headache for me.
