Happy anniversary! I can't believe how old the site is now. I've been here for almost half my life.
When I was younger, one of my dreams was to build an avatar and/or pet site...now I'm older, I'm a web developer, I've seen so many other sites rise and fall...and I understand now how much effort it actually takes. You need to build not only a website, but a community, and a company. The art style of Subeta is amazingly consistent. Updates are pretty regular, and though they vary in size, they don't stop. That all takes a lot of commitment.
The amount of stuff there is to do here is staggering, compared to a lot of other sites I've tried. The item selection, after almost TWO DECADES, is unreal. Sure, we all have complaints and wish for certain things, but overall I'm seriously impressed with how long the site has survived, and how it's grown into something that both old and new users can become obsessed with. I still love it here, and I know others do too. I hope everyone on the staff is proud of what's been accomplished over the years, and I hope it only gets better.

I regularly lurk in the lower SP amount giveaway threads at Luminaire and gift high value WL items to participating users. I've been here long enough to have made a hearty amount of SP, so it's fun to surprise people with those items.

Oh man, there's a lot I enjoy about Subeta. The quests, the battle and exp. system, the gorgeous pet art, and the vast amount of items to collect have been fun. (some of the sillier and macabre ones have made me chuckle.) I'm definitely sticking around for many years to come.
Honestly I just love how much there is to discover. I don't think I'll ever run out of things to find and that's exciting.

the thing i love the most about subeta is that i am able to play at all. when i lost my eyesight i thought i had lost my games forever. my hubby tried to bolster my spirits by getting me this screen reader saying that i may not be able to play games any longer but at least i could surf the net. the first place i went after learning how to use the screen reader was subeta. i didn't have high hopes that the screen reader would work but i had to try - i missed my pets. imagine my utter elation when i found the screen reader worked on 90% of the site. subeta gave me my games back and i am very greatful. happy birthday subeta. i hope youre around for another 17 years.
There are huge periods of my recent life where I simply can't remember anything (yay depression) I did online, but I remember doing the bathhouse streak. I don't remember anything else on the site but somehow i remember that.
I don't have that streak anymore, but thanks for giving me a memory in a time where I just don't have any others.

I love that, overall, Subeta is sweet and cuddly with a twisted bit of darkness giving it a hug. Everything and everyone on the site is an adorable little goblin giving hugs and punches.

I may no longer keep in touch or keep in touch often with people I talked to more regularly (some have stopped coming on here), but I appreciated the time I had with them.

I fell in love with Subeta the very first time I found this site. I was looking through the Home Appliances shop and when I read the description for the Frilly Bed , it was then I knew that Subeta would ever be the site for me. The description for the bed? Here it is: "Reminds me of the bed my ex had. Blah. ~S"

crazy to think ive been on here since 2006 😳 im very shy and reclusive so i dont interact w community much beyond the occasional profile comment, but something i really love about subeta that keeps me here, are the pets and the wacky colors they come in- i love antlephores and sheetas excessively (really praying for storm and or riftborn versions of them) and the nightmare, riftborn, and graveyard colors have to be my faves __

Subeta is so welcoming and so user-inclusive. Thank you for always listening to our ideas, allowing us to contribute, and respecting us all ❤️

I also like how Subeta has introduced me to different things, for example, I feel like I learned to identify a lot of different flowers because of all the floral items! :) Looking forward to playing for many more years.

So I've been here for 13 years and I stick around because I like having something to do while I unwind after work: but it never gets monotonous! The events keep it fresh and are always fun, and the HA system is such a fun creative outlet. I've never encountered a clothing system that lends itself to SO MUCH variety, you can really do almost anything with it and it's constantly getting better.
And yes, everyone on this site is genuinely so nice and welcoming. I haven't made any really close friendships here but I used to be a huge lurker on purpose and changed over time because I've never met such a lovely and legitimately open/kind group of people anywhere else on the internet.

I love that this site celebrates 'odd' holidays more than legit anyone else. I have a couple of friends here that have gone on to be personal friends for years. (Love ya, Ret/Turtle) I find it awesome that it celebrates my birthday because it's the same day as its anniversary so that's just a bonus.
Huge Halloween fan, so Morostide every year never fails to delight. (Same goes for Survival, because we all need our spooky on around the lovie-dovie day) Would love to see more story of Dungarde/fate of Elsie but eh. I'll be happy if we just flip the globe sometime in the future. (A whole half of Subeta has never been seen, yet we can go to the moon lol)

I have been a member here for 6 years and used to play this game a lot with my best friend when I was younger. I have recently picked it up again since I've been going through hard times lately, and this place has been such a comfort to revisit ♥
