What's happening with Neugarten?
As you may have noticed, we have not released Neugarten this summer. We plan on having the various Neugarten Shops (Local Fresh Wholesome, Shanti's Sustainables, and Rumi's Vegan Life) open starting September 1. These shops, along with food trucks and the community bowl, will be open until Keelhauliday which will be around the fourth week of September.
There will be no new Neugarten items because we are focusing on our anniversary, pirates, and pets! Who doesn't want another new wild pet! We're even working on a new experiment-like pet** (or two) for gardens.
** Experiment-like pets as in these will be 'one shots' instead of a full line of colors. There is the potential for a chibi or scribble version down the line, like Euclid's actual experiments.

I have all the current items, but want a few doubles so this is helpful! I'm also quite fond of pirate items, if I am lucky enough to get them, so that's going to be fun.
I hope a lot of new pirate stuff comes out with quests since it's impossible to buy any new items in the frustrating pirate shop.
I don't mind missing neugarten since it wasn't a big deal anyway. But garden pets would be awesome. We don't need floral or insect pets because we already have glade and zasaba, but I would love to see a glowglo pet. :D
I'm actually relieved there won't be new items as I am woefully behind on getting stuff. And can't wait to see more pet colors and the anniversary party!
Honestly, I am more than okay with skipping Nuegarten in favor of focusing on pets (and pirates!!!). You guys 100% have my support. <3 Can't wait to see the new pets
I'm absolutely down for more pets, both the wild and the prospect of one-offs?! The experiments are some of my favorite pets, so I'm really excited about that and the potential it has for the future ๐๐๐!
(I've never gotten over the Pylot not being a pet, this gives me hope even if it's just copium!)
That said I'ma say something I never thought I'd say in the nearly 21 years of being here... but I'm actually most curious if there could be a push for the existing Neugarten items to be considered for toys? There's a ton of neat things I never bought because I only needed one or two for TCs but if many of the items were toys ๐!!
Same plea for the Freyalise stock, only with more begging ๐ฅบ๐๐ . I found 150+ potential toys before taking a break (they're in the gallery on the toy suggestion thread!) and I imagine there's a ton more.

Also this may be a pipe dream but would be nice to see a few new holiday items made by users! I know in the past that happened with the Steamworks Menagerie if I'm understanding it correctly

I'm way more interested in filling out some of the missing old pets instead of more new ones. There are a few I've still been waiting for for years. Though there's one or two wilds I'm curious to see too.
Otherwise it'll be nice to at least.... think about actually getting a bunch of the old stuff I missed from the previous years of this event. I definitely don''t have the sp for it though lol.

NEW PETS?!? Any chance we'll see a rise in pet slots to accompany them? frets over choosing between my existing pets' appearances and the new ones

I am now wondering how different "garden" pets are going to be, because we already have Glade pets? Which to me, were garden themed? Or at least, nature themed....And I can't wait to see what the new wild pets look like either!

just psyched for the neugarten shops to be open tbh, i dont think ive been active while they're open the whole time ive been playing subeta somehow. ๏
New Wild and Garden pets? Wow, for the 1st time here I've used all my slots. So either have to buy more, change a few or give away a couple. Guess it depends on what the new pets look like. Anxious to see them.
That all sounds plenty exciting! The disappointment I felt while reading "no new Neugarten items" dissipated as soon as I read the rest. Can't wait to see the garden pets! Thank you for letting us know the plan ahead of time, that really helps with managing expectations! :)
I take it these garden pets will be like the Rift pets, then? I forgot if those two pets became available in Chibi or Scribble. I think they did become available in Scribble?

Man, I love me some pirates.
tbh, I don't like Neugarten nearly as much as the fantasy-esque clothing that we used to get from that OTHER holiday.

Interesting, thank you for the heads up. TBH the wild pets are amazing and I can't wait for other species getting their wild on. It's been a hot minute since new experiment pets!
