Longcat is GONE. It has been removed from the site, and Draconis has taken it's place.
I'd like to take this time to issue an apology to you, the users. In the past month we have been handling a situation with multiple sites, over a silly 64x64 canvas filled with pixels. This was known to all of us as Longcat, and wasn't an important item on the site.
The item caused confusion, and most of all it caused controversy on Subeta, as well as outside of Subeta. We kept fighting for Longcat and Subeta in hopes that it would protect the users, and make Subeta appear strong, and able to find off any attack. Whatever you've been told, keeping Longcat was never about pride, it was about keeping the site safe from internet terrorists now, and in the future.
We weren't aware of the ability of one item to take down multiple fan-dedicated sites, and cause a legion of internet users to attack Subeta and it's users, not only on Subeta, but on other sites. We asked all users to change passwords, and make changes to their internet lives that could have been spared, had the item not been kept up.
Some will look at this as a loss for Subeta, while we are viewing it as a definite win. We are able to continue about our business and create fun, exciting new things for all of you to do, and you are able to play Subeta without worrying about what is lurking, and who is really your friend.
Again, we all apologize for any problems that you may have experienced in the past month due to this little group of pixels, and we hope that all of you keep playing Subeta. The site is about you, the users, and would be nothing without you. We also want to extend an apology to any community outside of Subeta that has been affected by this, including the communities we were having this problem with - all of the chans. Hopefully we can all move on to things that are more important :) We also apologize for any actions we took that may have provoked the chans, including taunting or pushing them to make sure they knew we weren't going to give up. All of this we accept as our fault, and we are apologizing to every party for.
Starting out the new features, is the Cult Revamp! Recoded to work much better, you can now create a cult and choose from a number of pre-made templates, which range from Angelic to Hydrus :)
We are leaving the comments on this post open, in hopes that everyone can play nice. We will disable that easy if need be.

Oh and uh, might want to tell the users that had Longcat equipped when this happened to remove it immediately. :d It still shows up as Longcat on their avatars, even though it's gone.
...I doubt they'll stop attacking because of this. Last I heard, they were doing it only "for the lulz."

I don't think all the problems here are going to end (not talking about raids, just all the staff issues right now in general), and I don't think that apology was the greatest possible, but it's a step in the right direction undoubtedly! Longcat is finally gone! Thanks to Keith for doing the right thing (for both 420channers and users), and if the attacks don't stop just put it back up and say 'I told you so.' =)

Yay. I greatly appreciate this. However, not all of their demands have been met. I think the last thing they want is you with a keyboard on your head. I'd suggest you get on that. But for what it's worth, the Draconis is much prettier than the Longcat was in my opinion.

Most of them will stop...some are still outraged. Their numbers are falling so I see the attacks slowly coming to a halt. Nothing immediate but it should alleviate pressure

I was really confused over this entire thing. One does not simply OWN Long Cat! (I know that well, I teld to use long cats a lot) xDD I never trusted the chans, unfortunately. Rather shady, violent sites. Well, it's all over. I'll miss longcat, as it seemed to be a contact to other internet sites. I guess those channers didn't think so.

Hmm, nice replacement but it is not the longcat. I don't care about the fuss it has created. I liked the item and I liked the way it was draped around the body of the avatar. <p>
Just create a feline replacement that wraps the same way around the avatar. Let it has the same position in the wardrobe like the longcat. Just use a different picture and a different name. As long as it is feline and white. </p>

Bleh. The longcat ruined my avvie's image. The draconis fits much better. Keithums should ignore the Chans. Most will back down, and he ones that stay are just idiots who enjoy tormenting others, because they have nothing better to do.

I admit that I will miss the longcat a LOT, but the draconis is really cute. I only wish that it was a body item and not overchest so I could wear my Ladron and it at the same time. XD

Since a lot of people are having some confusion: The new Draconis is an overchest item, not a body item like Longcat was. So look there.
