The Free Shop has opened it's doors, and it is where all future giveaways will be held! Tonight we will be testing it out :)

You might want to watch for these two items, that can only be found in this giveaway!
Just so you know - this shop restocks just like any other shop. Meaning that all the items in the giveaway will be restocking over time ;) This means that one time zone is NOT favored over others :)
Also, if it's empty, make sure to stick around. This giveaway should last through to tomorrow :)

Look I am not saying that everybody is complaining I understand that their are a lot of people that appriciate alll the hard work that Keith and the other staffers do. However the peopl who are winning in my eyes don't, are a being selfish by complaining that they don't get the free stuff. Some of these people just don't get how hard it is please everybody, and don't kno whow much it hurts when you can't... All I want is for EVERYBODY to respect the hard work that goes into this site and to think before they complain about something.
I really don't understand people complaining about whining. The majority of what's been posted here is polite/constructive criticism...
I have to wait until almost no one is on. I can't grab anything fast enough. <img src="http://www.subeta.ws:8080/images/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" />

Weird.. Sometimes I click on an item and it wants me to put a price in and the code, but than other times it's just the code. Oh well, i've at least managed to get the new feli hat.
Can't say this method is a good idea. People who are master restockers can really, really get their hands on a mass ammount of items. -.- I thought we weren't going to do giveaways anyway? I would have been PERFECTLY fine with that... this is just.. yeah... no.
I just went there. I had to PAY to get a supposedly free item. WHAT THE HECK is up with that!?!

I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone by <i>suggesting</i> a slightly different system than what Keith offended in hope of maybe making this a little bit more fair for people who <i>go here to unwind and have fun</i>. I wasn't aware that it bothered people this much when others offer criticism and improvement on certain features.

Hm. Now it's asking for an actual sP amount to be entered..
Most of WHINERS have valid complaints...so those of you whining about whiners...stuff it.
This should be fun, right? And when it's not, I think we have the right to make suggestions on how to make it so.

It lagged for me o:
But it is okay, it's pixels xD Not worth worrying much over, you know! I am missing stuff on this rsing give away, but at least I am SEEING items! In the other I had such bad luck I never saw anything, haha xD

Sorry Keith... but this has gotta be one of the worst ideas ever. The donation center is better. Especcially for slow connection computers like mine. In a normal shop like the clothing rack, it can take up to 5 minutes for me just to get the captcha to appear. I say that this idea needs to go.

xoxoiloveme...I really don't think that was called for.
We all appreciate what Keith does for us to make Subeta such a great place to play. You (and the others) who have made nasty comments about "whiners" give me a knot in my stomach. That is so uncool. <img src="http://www.subeta.ws:8080/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /> This is feedback on something new.

I've never once complained about the giveaways before, either. o.o
And I haven't seen anyone being rude, disrespectful, or saying that they don't like this site.
I just think this new way is more unfair than the old one. Given that this has only been in place for less than 2 hours, I think there might be a lot more backlash coming up.
And computer/connection speed has a LOT more to do with it now then it did for the DC. Lucky for us, wolfhound, that Keith is more concerned about user happiness and fairness than you are. Blatant unfairness, like you're advocating, is probably one of the best ways to lose supporters.

wow....just...wow.... first of all people complain that they arent getting what they wont from a FREE giveaway like their entitled to get a specific item and whine when they dont get their way. Then when Keith tries to improve the system to get rid of what most called 'unfair' theres nothing but more outcries of unfairness. People really need to understand that Keith does giveaways out of the kindness of his heart and the effort of his programmers. He is not required to do anything like this to give anyone anything. I think that also applied to the old give aways.
But anyway... It's up to Keith to decide what is better for users. People are ALWAYS going to complain about something, so I guess it must be hard for him to decide what users like and what they don't ^^;</blockquote>

I agree with Aloysius; Keith already almost did take away giveaway's completely before. We should be grateful he decided to give it another go.
What I find hilarious is before, everyone was whining over the OLD way of giveaway. Now everyone's whining over the new way, claiming the old way was better. I assure you, if we go back to the old way, people will still whine.</blockquote>
That's hardly fair. Not everyone whined before. I really never saw anything "unfair" about the old Giveaways. The Token Shop rses seemed to be the only feature with Time Zone issues. The DC giveaways normally lasted for a good day or so. o_o If you can't get on Sometime in say.... a 12-16 hour span then that's on you. If anyone ever complained, it was because they out of thousands missed a Hollow Item. Take those out of the DC giveaways and I bet few will be whining about missing it.

People are complaining about complainers now. I thought these comments were suppose to give feedback on whatever new things the team thought of.
Anyways, like I said before, this reminds me of the money tree on neopets. Its a good idea for the different times zones, but thats all that its good for. The old DC was better, and I never complained about it. I'm sure the team will find something by using some of this feedback. Just be glad they care about the users unlike other sites. But for now, I think they should go back to the old DC.

It's not that everyone is dissing staff members or their hard ork I mean seriously I give them mad props cuz I can barely use HTML. I just don't think it's fair and that's all alot of us think. The DC and the rules to it are the best thing in my opinion. I would just like a shot at it is all I'm saying.
I've never complained about the free giveaways.. there free of course.. but don't you think there should be a timer so the same 10 poeple don't have 100 of the same free item in their shop while everyone else gets upset that their pc/server isn't super fast?
I am so sick of all these complainers, seriously you guys!
and 3. If you don't like here on Subeta then why do you still play on it in the first place!?
Their, I said it and I am not ashamed of it, bring on the haters! <img src="http://www.subeta.ws:8080/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif" border="0" />
- You should all be thankfull you even get a free giveaway at all, Keith doesn't have to have DC or Free shop.
- Be glad you arn't all being reported for being rude and disrespectfull to the staff members that worked hard trying to figure out a more fair method of giveaways.

More (better) items going in donation center now good luck everyone ... and remember its a game have fun!!!
I have fast connection and I STILL can't RS anything... I clicked on one item and it was already sold out, and I didn't even hesitate to click in it, I went right to it and poof, it was gone. I really just liked the old giveaway in the DC, because at least there, you had a 5 minute wait, no code or anything to input, AND everyone was looking at different things at at time, so that you have a better chance of getting something.
Oh I wish my fingers were faster. It seems like everything I click on, even if there are 5 in stock, is gone before I can even type the code in. -sigh- I did snag one of the new hats -pokes head- and it is oh so cute. Thanks for the free stuff. I just wish I was faster like some of those super RSers out there.

I think this is a good idea...because ALL the items restock OVER TIME...unlike the DC, everyone picks out the good stuff first, andpeople who come on later usually complain

OK, I like the idea, but the practicality is bad - I have been refreshing since the news post and got all of 3 items (all in the beginning). Maybe this works if you have a fast computer, but the lag is awful. I much prefer the old method, where everyone has a chance. With different time zones, just adjust when some items get released, with the bulk still in the US, which has the most users.
The whole site seems to be lagging because everyone is hard refreshing in that shop. The way the DC was set up, where you refreshed within the page, seemed to have way less of an impact on overall site speed.
Oh, and then there's this:
Last Restocked: 15 minutes ago
I was refreshing there as much as it would allow me--it kept lagging forever when I'd try. After waiting 15 minutes for it to refresh, when it finally loaded again, everything was gone.

I really think removing the codes/captchas would make things a lot more fair. People with slower connections would have a better chance then.
I personally hate this idea.
It doesn't seem fair because alot of users have trouble re-stocking and therefore items are gone before they even get a chance to click the item.
It just doesn't seem a very good idea.
The giveaway center is better because all users have a fair chance and it limits one item every 5 minutes.
So for me this is EW! <img src="http://www.subeta.ws:8080/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_sigh.gif" border="0" />

Oh, there's no waiting period? o.o I think there should be, like in the DC.
Like I said, I really like this idea, I just don't like the captcha code. when I don't get an error where the box is suppoesd to be, the word is mostly off the image so I have to bring up a new one and I've lost out :/
The new giveaway idea seems really good, though.

I personally hate this idea. I rs yes, but this is difficult. Its like the stupid money tree on neopets to me. The DC was better, cause no everyone saw the same set of items. My connection isn't all that great either on this site, so no matter how fast I am, my computer and internet lags.

It seems like it just caters to the whole restockers of Subeta. I'm sure some people are thrilled, and others hate it. I think its OK, but i prefer the old method.

It's not so much a "giveaway" if getting an item requires entering a code, is it? And if only people with lightning-fast connections AND all the time in the world to refresh AND massive amounts of good luck can ever grab anything? Maybe that's just me.
Not fond of the new system either; at least with the DC giveaways, everyone had a chance to grab something, even those with slow connections. This sort of defeats the purpose of a giveaway, and takes much of the fun out of it. If you're gonna give out piles of stuff anyway, I say do so in the spirit of generosity - throw it all out there and give everyone a chance to grab something regardless of net speed. Like the DC giveaways used to be.
I'm not complaining, mind. Unlike some, I understand that giveaways are/were just for fun and I'm no worse off without free stuff than I would've been before giveaways and free shops existed. Just stating an opinion.

A 5 minute wait would be very nice. I've gotten several things from the donation corner within an hour but this is just a pain. Don't get me wrong I'm completely behind Keith and how he's doing things with Subeta but taking a wait off the grabbing of items seems kinda dumb. no one else can get anything. I still haven't and I've been trying everytime it restocks.

Lets complain some more so we can have giveaways completely taken away... for real this time.
We need a "I survived the giveaway and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.
We need a "I survived the giveaway and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.
I hope you didn't feel pressured to give stuff away.... but it's a good idea <img src="http://www.subeta.ws:8080/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
Following Spawn's example, I'd like to give my opinion on this, and hopefully Keith or someone reads it and considers it.
I don't like this system either. The problem with the last system was that it was biased against people in different time zones (which I didn't -really- see the merit of, since I've been on and off for HOURS during giveaways, and its always been restocked).
If anything, I think this system is more unfair. With the DC, luck was a big part of whether you would nab an item you wanted or not. Once someone took something, they couldn't take anything for another 5 minutes, letting other people who hadn't gotten anything go behind their backs and take their pick. Now that its an rsing shop, people with fast connections and experience rsing are going to have the advantage. And since there isn't a ban either, these people can hit every restock as well. I'm pretty certain when I make the assumption that the majority of subeta players are NOT serious rsers; people on slow connections really get it in the shorts as well. People who are really good at rsing already get tons of stuff by virtue of just that -- rsing. Now that giveaways are made to their advantage, you aren't really helping the people who otherwise wouldn't be able to get sP as fast.
I think the best 'giveaway' so far was when you sent a link to people, and each person got a random item of the same rarity. Maybe you could make it like the free gift, so each person gets to go once, and get 3 or 5 or whatever random items.

Bless you to the users who are holding a tiny giveaway of their own in the Donation Center - I've donated a ton of balloons. And I think that Spawn's gift box idea is excellent.

Unlike most people, I find no problem with this. I'm sorry Keith, I guess we just have to face facts - you can never make everyone happy, no matter how hard you try D;
"why have a code if these are free items"
To prevent autobuyers? (If there are any that work on subeta; I've got no clue but that's the only thing I can figure...
I'd prefer if they took the code away and added some sort of 5 minute wait after you've gotten an item like they had in the DC
