Masquerade and Vesnali!
We’re extending the Masquerade Ball until 11:59pm on April 9th! That means the Masquerade forums will be open until 11:59pm on April 10th.
To give you enough time to recover from your dancing, and pace our events a little better - this year Vesnali will begin in early to mid May.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Vesnali was ALWAYS mid (or even late) May. The back-to-back winter thru spring events can be exhausting, and then the long gap after is kind of awkward because you had so much to do, then hardly a thing until Keelhauliday many months later. I'm all in favor of a bit more empty space in the schedule between events, no more holiday whiplash, and a less long quiet break after vesnali this year sounds nice to me. Ooh, and also, a big thanks for extended Masq :)

Don't fully get people complaining about Vesnali- I mean, it's not like it was shortened! Just pushed back one or two weeks. So more time for the artists to work and get a better holiday. Plus they're telling us so early that the majority of players weren't even thinking about it (rather than springing it on us at the beginning of May when people are waiting.)

oh thank you! I've been working 7 days a week lately and was afraid I wasn't going to have the time to get all the trinkets I need to buy all the things I want from the shops. So thank you so much for extending the ball! Yay!

At least Vesnali wasn't pushed back to late May! If it was, I'd miss it for sure. I'd be sooo upset to miss it, too as it's my fav holiday. :) But thanks for extending Masq, staff!

Thanks for pushing Vesnali back a bit! Honestly having four holidays back to nearly back-to-back (luminaire, survival, masquerade, and vesnali) was a bit overwhelming, so I appreciate the quick break.

For reals, now that I've checked the items again, I can see that most of them are a crossover between easter and spring. Aside from the obvious egg-items, a lot of them could pass off as spring. MAYBE @CZAR MADE ME BELIEVE IT WAS EASTER ALL THOSE YEARS (jk ilu kat)

Oh thank goodness, I needed this extention so hard. :) Kind of bummed about Vesnali but it's also better for me this way. :)

@Cathii I mean … it’s very spring related? IT’S LITERALLY A HOLIDAY ABOUT FLOWERS AND BABY ANIMALS. AND ESTHER BEING SUPER CUTE.

I feel like if it were named and themed like a spring event rather than a specific real holiday one I'd see it better!
(Kind of how I associate survival with valentines, all the Louis l'Amour items look vday related to me except it starts after the actual holiday!)

Vesnali is my favourite event but I'm happy to see this because honestly all the events in a row get exhausting!
I was really looking forward to Vesnali, but I can totally understand why it was delayed. And we still have the second wave of the menagerie to look forward to! :D
