Forum Shop: Best Friends
It’s hard to find a best friend that you really connect with. Especially a best friend willing to bake you and your picky roommate (looking at you, Manwar) cookies whenever! Liz, Manwar, and I have donated a few things to the Forum Shop that really define our friendships.

@Bailey Ah, okay. I guess because strangers in the real world have no intentions of being anything more than strangers to other people but online most of the time people are looking for others that understand them and connect with them so sharing that gives you a chance to meet others like yourself? This certainly brought asexual players together, didn't it? It's nice to see someone who represents you in a game and it's even nicer to meet other people like you through that.
I'm just saying I don't care about the genders and sexualities of strangers when I go out in the world, and they don't care about mine, but on the internet it is suddenly Extremely Important
@Bailey But the item release was labeled as stuff for best friends? Only one item mentioned they were asexual and that was giving backstory on how they became friends over something they both had in common? Sorry, I'm just sort of confused on how this is suddenly shoving their genders/sexualities in your face or how it at all compares to strangers you meet on the street when these are site-wide known NPCs? I'm just really not understanding your point of view, I guess. Oh well, we can't all agree. :D
I'm just saying if people announced their genders and sexualities to strangers in real life the way they do on the internet, walking down the street would be a much weirder experience.

The fact that have I always imagined Nico, Manwar, and Liz (and Jade) as friends makes this even more amazing!

I'm glad to see asexuality represented in a respectful, realistic way. I'll admit, when I found out Nico was possibly asexual, I was worried about how that representation would play out (I have some unpopular opinions about certain aspects of gender identity and orientation, including some of the newer terminology), and I'm so happy to see this! Thank you, Subeta, this means a lot to me.

Aaah these items are absolutely precious! Nico is by far my favorite NPC and I love learning about him <3 I love learning about all the NPC though and the more I learn about Liz and Manwar, the more I love them ah.
All of these are adorable and I love that Subeta is representing so many sexual orientations! Things like this make me love this site even more :)

I think the difference here is, since asexuality has such little representation (even on the internet) it's just nice to see even a little bit of that here. And the thing is, people DO bond over being asexual (well, any sexuality really), because like I say, such little representation exists for us that when you DO find someone the same as you, it's nice to bond over that.
