The Rift
In my circuit this year, I came across something unusual, and quite spectacular. A rift in space and time. Now, there are few that may remember something like this happening before - and the trouble it caused! I have spent some time checking on the stability of this rift. It seems that it cannot be entered fully by humanoid creatures. You can toss things in - items, currency. The returns are...interesting sometimes. I believe this rift is safe to interact with, although only once per person, per day.

I just explored this for the first time with my pet Masser and it vanished? I have no idea if it's gone forever or not. It was an adopted pet but a cool one. I hope they enjoy their travels..

OH NO !! O.O I just realized that the sneaky staff are probably waiting to do something horrible (probably not funny) to us centered on this new lovely best friend perfectly perfect in every way The Rift on April 1. Then reveal it to be a joke!

I was a bit scared to do it, but I just couldn't resist tossing one of my favorite pets into the rift for some reason. Can't wait to see what happens!

Quick answers to common questions:
- This will be here all year round, it's not tied to the Masquerade holiday.
- There is code in place to prevent you from filling the pet slot you freed when you yeeted your pet into the Rift.

Your pet will not lose stats from being transferred to The Rift account.
To everyone who sent their pet in and is worried it's not coming back, Rah did confirm earlier in the comments that the pets aren't lost forever :)
Slightly concerned because I sent my pet inand it’s showing my pet slot has been opened up. Little concerned that means he’s not coming back...

hmmm i hope whatever rift transformation happens to my pet doesn't mess up its lack of gender (it was originally one of the glitched zentus and i would hate to lose that)
And we are now entering day two of the Subetan Rift Exploration. No sign of the pets yet, but owners are camping out on the chasm floor awaiting their safe return. Some users appear to be trying to throw provisions in after the hapless explorers, only to be hit in the face by valuable antiques. We will have to await further developments on this front. They're not that hard to get. People on the forums have already figured out how to get the new bunny plushie. No luck with the beanbag yet, but with other users working on random things we'll probably figure it out soon enough.
