The Rift
In my circuit this year, I came across something unusual, and quite spectacular. A rift in space and time. Now, there are few that may remember something like this happening before - and the trouble it caused! I have spent some time checking on the stability of this rift. It seems that it cannot be entered fully by humanoid creatures. You can toss things in - items, currency. The returns are...interesting sometimes. I believe this rift is safe to interact with, although only once per person, per day.

Well anyone trying for a beanbag or plushie are going to have a hard time getting them, which makes it impossible to get them for your collection.
Made 'Whale God' in reference to the Outsider specifically to yeet him into the rift. Goodluck baby, come back looking cute please.
Can there be an alert telling us where our pet(s) went? I miss my Puff. (Though I am glad I didn't toss my other pets; don't tell Puff!) Also, could we (the human avatars) step into the void at some point? O.o
should perhaps thought this through more... as i sent my second highest stated pet into the rift. I'm so hoping I didn't seriously make a costly mistake. -whispers please come back-

If the pet swap thing happened, I would think many users would be livid (including me) and there's no logical reason for such a feature imo? I tossed in one of my most beloved pets because I thought it'd be something akin to the zapper (whether random or like getting a yaherra), Blobland, or the Coda Caves and he needed to be recolored anyway.
Pet swaps would cause an awful backlash, I think. many people did toss in their very high tier battle pets, nice names, etc. If the receiving user refused to return their pets then it'll cause SO MUCH unnecessary drama. A temporary swap doesn't make sense to me either.

@Zimt lol thanks XD I still think it's kind of weird, though - everyone else is either keeping their pets safe or booting them into the rift just to see what happens. Meanwhile here I am all, "Why not both? I'm going to make sure this pet has everything she needs before I possibly SEND HER TO HER DOOM" 8D
I just spent the past hour or so clearing out Anduniel's treasure and filling it back up with things like sandwiches, weapons, a first-aid kit, and of course a towel (bad form to go anywhere in space without a towel). As soon as I'm done writing this comment, I'll be...sacrificing? shoving her into? strongly encouraging her to explore? the void.

Whelp. I lost my pet to the rift. I'm hoping the rift eventually has a battle with us, sending back all our pets, twsited by the rift to battle us. Like the boss 'battle' with The Sorrow in MGS SNake Eater
I have the option to use the rift again but haven't gotten my pet back. WELL I GUESS I SHOULD OF EXPECTED THAT?

god yeah, a rift based world would be incredible. i was kind of hoping for a plot but maybe someday... rift world babey.
The rift ate my pet and now I am wondering why did I not check the comments here first to see what it does? I really ought to know better.

i used the rift's HA to get its user id, and then i used that to get to its shared outfits. luckily, whoever did the HA chose to save it instead of just wear it!
