SubetaLodge has a preview of the temporary overlays granted (they're not unlockable in the wardrobe) that you can see here.
You can get achievements (if you don't yet have them) for using:
To the best of my knowledge the Amortisone, Amorisporin-Medicated Bandages, Hyperamory Inducer do not give any sort of achievement, just the temporary infection.

Adding to WL the ones I don't have the achievements for yet. I've got so many achievements, so I can wait on these.
Just make sure that you double check which ones actually have achievements associated with them because not all of the items will give you an achievement some of them only give the temporary hex and nothing else, so check before you spend your sP!

That one just worked for me, so I would assume the other ones that give achievements will still work too as long as the achievements are not retired. You actually can't use them during Survival because of how Amber explained, they interfere with the zombie strain progressions which is why staff disables them during that time.

Great, now I can get the achievements for taking them! ^-^ (They haven't been retired afaik, anyway)

They haven't been revamped. They were made unusable during the holidays because they are considered 'hexes' like morostide hexes and snowballs but now we have nothing that will interfere with them. Maybe they'll become unlockable skins in the future, I don't know. I promised they'd be usable again soon though so here they are :)
@sneaky they were not revamped? the only change was that the use function was turned off because the hexes would remove zombie viruses
