Crystal Shop Restock

I'm late to replying this, sorry! (combo of Hanukkah + shabbat was fun)
As far as crystal amounts go, I have no plans on adjusting them. I could understand wanting that when
Ariel and I would retire items out of the Crystal Shop pretty often so you had to rush to get what you wanted and didn't have that much time to build up the crystals for them.
That isn't the case anymore. I keep items in there until they get bought up. Which means unless it's a hot item like the remote, most items will be around for a bit. So you have time to work towards getting those crystals. Items that sell out very fast like day of, I generally do another restock of within 24 hours or bring it back again sooner than later.

@Valiska I understand what you're saying. I do frag all of my quest items. I have plenty of crystals as well. I could easily buy every crystal shop item I need. The concern is that I value my crystals much higher than the current conversion to sP. For example, I worked hard to frag 2,667 items for approximately 4k crystals. The value of my sP/time to do that far exceeds the current sP value of the book that I'd get for 4k crystals. I figure there must be others that feel the same way, or else those 75 items wouldn't still be sitting in the crystal shop for months and months.

Ofc I do sell the tokens all the time but it's like a never-ending supply of tokens compared to my never ending need for crystals.

The growing rate on the crystals is usually 1.5k or less. I'm not going to frag items at 5k a piece when I can auto price them in my shop. I'm not fragging anything over 3.5k usually because that's just a loss of profit if you do. I mean sure I could frag everything I get, but why should I lose out on the sP gain? I can then turn around and buy at least 3-4 crystals with the profit of a 5k item. I'd rather just bribe someone selling the humming crystals to sell me something versus me having to click and buy their crystals continuously. That seems like the most worth while option to me at this time.

...this is also a time of year when people have a lot of crystals. Fantine didn't have any new items at Fireside so I had over 500 pumpkins and snow fairies also pile up.

If you do your quests everyday you end up with tons of items worth less than 10K sp and trying to sell them makes running your usershops a pain. The only thing I'd like to change is to make challenger loot items fraggable, because some of them are worth less than 5000 sp.
Frag them all and you can get a few thousand crystals in a couple weeks; my complaint is that by the time I have the crystals, a lot of the items are sold out again, so it takes me forever to get anything over 10000 crystals.
If you are piling up wizard tokens you can cash them out into 1000 token pieces and sell them for at least 2m sp apiece.

I get that but even vending aint all that for fragging because anything over 3kish sp isnt worth fragging with the current conversions. There is only so many items under that threshold. I'd be better off buying up the carnival stand and fragging those items but then I have to waste my time with the 5 second delay and grind all day for what I want when things are an absurd 4k frag points.

as for re-evaluating the crystal prices, i'm all for it if staff wants to look at it, but i kinda like that the items stick around a bit, i consider fragging kind of a more passive thing where i don't need to rush as much like with the token shop. i have a few days to quest and vend to get the stuff i need

The frag shop has been going crazy lately with restocks yet I’m still over here at any given moment with like 14k + wizard tokens that I can’t seem to get rid of.

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I think many of the crystal shop prices need to be adjusted. When you consider the time/expense of fragging, the time/expense of buying crystals from user shops (currently 1k per), it often doesn't make sense to use crystals to purchase crystal shop items. It would make more sense to purchase from user shops. It's possible I don't understand the purpose of this shop, but I think it should be to acquire items reasonably cheaper by using an alternative currency you had to go out of your way to earn. Many of them don't seem reasonably cheaper at this time. And this is not a suggestion that SubetaTeam should artificially inflate items in user shops to make it seem like a good deal either. I always check price history on Subetalodge. :P
At any rate, it's something I've been thinking about when looking at the items in the crystal shop, their prices, and the number in stock. Obviously other people feel similarly, or those items wouldn't sit for seemingly years at a time. I feel like the ultimate value of a crystal (labor + sP) is higher than the current user shop price at any time. I know it must be difficult to balance because users will drop their prices, but it feels like this straight out of the gate before they're able to buy them with crystals. Thanks for re-releasing items in this way, though I think it needs some tinkering and a reassessment of just how valuable 1 humming power crystal really is to the user acquiring them.

I shall have to hoard a "few" more crystals in order to afford the books I need from the Crystal Shop.
