Spring Rotation is HERE

These spring items will be available in the shop for questpoints until the start of summer. While the details haven't all been worked out (again, read the forum thread!), old seasonal shop items will likely be used for prizes in the future. So you don't have to worry about never having access to them again. <3

Hopping back in to say that the spring items are super cute! Props to the artist
... a warning last summer, autumn, and winter would have been nice D: I did not purchase every seasonal item I need because there was no rush - so I thought.
Gosh this is really annoying. Sorry but I am not a fan of the team not giving a warning. And also the only realxing thing that´s left to do (after my preferred resock shops increased their prices and restocking from there was longer profitable) was QUESTING. I´m starting to wonder what I will do here if quests are limited or "updated".
Why not update the games (btw, some of the high scores have been stagnant for ages), the battle arena, new achievements that don´t take years - give us something nice and relaxing TO DO, instead of taking it away!
Thank you!

Gastrodon is right that masquerade currencies could easily be combined too.
And if we're talking about features that would benefit from a revamp: battling. It's too similar to Neopets, it has a huge time and money threshold, and there is no site-made guides. The user guides are spread among dozens of threads, half of which aren't updated or contain dead links, and most of the explanations are so wordy players have to read a small novel several times before maybe understanding somewhat of how battling works.
And that's not getting into how many opponents are locked behind a paywall or how the best weapons are needed for high level battling but are similarly walled off from most players' access.

I agree on combining the Steamwork and Lounge Trinkets, but I like the Crystal shop. As a battler, I get tons of loot to frag and so I have nearly 150k in crystals.
So between work and health I let quest shop seasons pass over the past year because I was too busy to think about it. They'd be back next year and maybe things might be better by then, right? lol, now I have to hope they'll someday return and that maybe I might just possibly be able to get items as a random prize from a quest now and then after having ground the rep when before I could just buy them.

Will we still get to use our quest points? Will they disappear? Will we still be able to purchase past seasonal items?
I 100% agree with everything @gemajgall and @Memoria said - I did post my thoughts on this change etc on the forum thread - multiple people did and IMO they were all ignored. The only feedback that seems to get responses are posts about the new system :/ Not gonna repeat myself or anyone else again but yeah, I'm really disappointed with how this whole thing is being handled.
I wonder if it might be worth splitting the forum thread into two? One for feedback on quests overall (like what's being discussed in these news comments) and one specifically for feedback re: the new system. One problem with the new thread is that there's a LOT to go through at 40+ pages, especially when a good chunk of the posts are full of technical jargon etc that frankly goes over my head. Maybe two threads would help everyone's voices to be heard.
I also really wish that more of these things could be posted on the news (or at least an announcement) when they're first posted on the boards and not months later. I only heard about this quest revamp a few weeks ago - I don't check the forums regularly - not the first time this has happened either.
(FWIW I also think recycling points need to go/be combined with fragging, recycling is tedious as heck)

I will miss the quests *tears. I’m someone who loves questing. Doing my 15 of each a day is what keeps me logging in daily. With quests gone ll probably only play when there is an event and skip paying for a gold account :(

Thank you =) and oh, my goodness; Floranoon, Rainy Rubber Ducky, Delightful Doe Plushie, Garden Cheerleader Plushie, and Rainy Phluf. So... much... cuteness!

Ahh ok - I must have misunderstood how the release schedule was outlined. That is good then. I liked the non-holiday related seasonal items. :-)

@Ambition There will be new items in the future for NPC quests, just not this quest shop.
@Cresenta Those two aren't part of the ~normal quests~ (like we have for quest-a-thons and stuff). When completing them, you don't get items and bring them back, so they're going to need different programming from the ones in testing!
also I agree that recycle points are annoying; I'd love to get rid of that. And somewhere down the line with the NPC reputation and other things, it'll happen!

I also noticed that there is no Major Drills or Battle Quests listed in Kumos. Are those being removed entirely also?! :(

I agree with @gemajgall on regards to what currencies actually feel "obnoxious" to grind, and it DOES kinda feel like complains are being ignored.

I feel as if the comments I posted on the quest thread were ignored.
I don't feel people "hoarding" currency is an issue as many players will save currency until they have a cushion, and won't spend until said cushion exists.
I enjoy quests and don't want to see them nerfed, and I feel this would negatively impact a lot of the site, such as wizard tokens.
If the idea is to reduce overall currency types, I'd rather see recycle points and fragment crystals combined because it's not quests that are the biggest slog on site; it's recycling. And recycling and fragmenting could be easily combined.
Yeah, not thrilled about this at all.

I did post on the news forum my displeasure at the very limited amount of quests we will be getting, gold accounts or not. As a former restocker of the zombie den who went years without a nose and had to shift to main shops when everyone got access to the Den, I'm not pleased with this idea. When the item rarity was "fixed" and I had to move to Questing to make sp, I wasn't thrilled about it, but Questing helped me enjoy the game.
The new Questing setup doesn't seem like it will allow me to do what I am doing now: earning enough sp and items to play the game and fill my shops. It is making me seriously rethink mine and my wife's gold accounts. We've played for over 13 and 14 years, respectively, and have watched this game spiral downward.
I still love the variety the game offers, the artwork, etc. But what is happening to it is sad. The " new and improved " version that's proposed needs more thought put into it's execution, imo.

I will say I really enjoy seasonal items. We do not get enough random but cute new items on site IMO. We have a severe lack of items outside of holiday events. :/ It's very sad.
I think that if the sites wants people to be more active there needs to be more new items, esp ones that you have to work for to get, but are not insanely impossible.

Initiating emergency quest shop shopping.
I'm missing more than I thought, hope I got enough quest points.

Still not happy about the changes to quests but I hope at least the SP payout is increased dramatically if they are going to happen regardless. Rn with a GA account I earn 5 mil, most I ever earned with the new quests was 2ish mil. :(

@Memoria, I know I sound like a broken record, but you should still post even if you think you are being ignored. The more people that bring up concerns, the more people obviously have issues, and it's not just the few who originally posted. Multiple voices help!
Keith has requested I add more items for requests for the different quests. People posting what they've gotten while testing the quests help a lot. It might not seem like it, but it does. Please, please, please post what you're asked for and what you received. If you haven't tried the system, please do! All feedback helps.
The NPCs talking and the reputation system are to get people more engaged with the site and the deep lore/characters we've built.

@Amber I'm now 21 pages in and my ire is worse. I am absolutely baffled why in this new system, which judging by the updates pays out pennies and will just make people hoard more, I am being told I cannot do the ONE thing I come to this site to do and have come to this site to do for 17 Years, 5 Months, 1 Week, 2 Days. Yeah the past few months I haven't quite been up to snuff in completing all my quests, but the option is there. Now, no, you can't do them all when we change to the new system. Rubbish.
You can say post to that thread your concerns, but they aren't being properly addressed. After about the first five pages it feels like those of us who are displeased have been ignored. His mind is clearly already set on destroying how we do quests and tough tits to those of us who have been here for years and years and years, here's the door. That is all I am seeing. I don't read what the NPCs say, nor do I care, and those of us who have reached the top tiers of the quest achievements, thanks, here's a cheap gold watch.
He's only interested in how the quests are working at this point.

Like I said, the details haven't all been sorted out yet. If you have concern about the quests, post on that thread! Let your voice be heard! As far as questpoints, I can say with certainty that this is the last time the seasonal quest shop will get new items. I can't, at this moment, say what will happen with quest points after this. You have the whole season (all of spring) to work towards the spring items, just like you had all of winter for those items.
The reason I included this in the news post is because I don't want y'all to get your hopes up about new quest shop items in Summer. There are months away until then, which leaves a lot of time for testing the system, letting opinions be known if something isn't working or doesn't make sense, and more. Not a forum person? Try the subeta discord!
@StarShadow The seasonal shop is basically the only shop that gets new items right now, and this is the last round. Eventually, all the quest shops will go (of course you will all get aheads up about that!!) but again, don't want y'all to assume there will be new summer items.
@Memoria Understandable that this can feel like it's coming out of nowhere. I've talked with Keith about doing news post recaps of his testing threads (either by him or me just drawing attention to it) so people don't miss it. A lot of these things are done where people can interact and test things! So things don't break (like Survival) or if something doesn't make sense, it can be fixed. Or new ideas that can get thrown in that work with our overall goal!
All this is to say, there will be more news posts / forum posts / whatever posts about quests in the future. This is just to let you know this is the last new set of seasonal items for the quest shop and y'all should plan accordingly.

I'm still a bit confused about the QPs. Will the shop remain but just not heave seasonal items any more? I'm fine with that. I have lots of QPs that I only spend when there is something new or I need something. Hope that continues.

I clearly missed the quest change thread, so now I'm just sat here as someone who enjoys doing all the quests every day as often as I can for the past checks notes 17 years, getting very put out on a Friday night. And none of the explanations from Keith make anything sound better. I realize this isn't quite the place to say that, but I'm only on page 4.
I don't hoard the points, but QPs are so few and far between, I stopped trying to get all the books for each pet in seasonal, at least.
Going to go get more put out now.

Still very worried and upset about the quest revamp, not gonna lie... it feels like a lot of the feedback on that has been ignored. Don't really understand why questpoints are going either.
Re: "hoarding" the points, (I'm not sure how to phrase this so please bear with me), do you have an ETA on when the quest shop will close (/QPs will be removed) and/or will there be a heads up ahead of time - I dunno if this is how other people handle their QPs, but for me, I prefer to save up a lot and then spend them all in one go. I'm less worried about "hoarding" it (in quotes because tbh I still don't see why there seems to be such a worry about people saving up currencies?) for like, converting into sP purposes, and more like... How to put this... Say there's an item I'd like to get for 90 points and I only have 10 - Is it still worth saving up for stuff or should we not bother with that? Does that make sense? I'm very confused about this whole revamp :(
(but on a more positive note, these items are lovely - I absolutely adore the Floranoon <3)

The point of removing questpoints is to lower the number of different currencies Subeta has, iirc.
We really do have too many currencies and it's not a bad thing to get rid of some who are more...situational.

I'm sad to hear that the quest points shop is going away. is that just for the seasonal items or all of them? i looked at the kumos page but didn't see the info about it, sorry if i missed it

I'd also like to know what the point of removing quest points is.
Is there going to be a different system replacing the quest shop?

Oh my, how am I ever going to get enough quest points to get these goodies? XD

Guys, don't hoard points. Just use them as you normally would. The items aren't disappearing forever, so there's no need for them all to come back (especially when there aren't any new items for the other seasons and they all had their season for you to buy them). Use the points you have, don't depend on what will happen to them when we change quest systems. :)

Please please please have a way to spend questpoints on other seasons' (winter!) items before they go away.

So with these changes coming to questing/points in the near future, should we be hoarding quest points for the "sp at a great rate conversion" or spending them all now before quest shops items switch over to sp purchase?
