Thank you, Keith, for changing the pop-up mechanic on floating flowers. This reduces the time wasted while still requiring a little more effort to collect the flower. It's a great compromise.
This site actually work so well??? I gave up Survival because nothing worked, and now everything is smooth?
@kytten Some users have found CustomCSS that places the flower in the upper left corner again. Check out this thread.
The problem i'm having with the floating items is it appears in a random spot on screen - which means i miss them. Twice now i've only noticed a flower when i was closing a tab and caught it out of the corner of my eye. Unfortunately it's not there again if i try to reopen the tab. :( The click to hold is kind of annoying, but not terrible because it's not a constant thing so it's not going to happen repeatedly/long enough to bother my arthritis - it's just the randomly placed floating. Bleh.

Oh.my.lawd. Chicka, ya'll! I can't even deal. She's so stinkin' cute! I absolutely love hens so this little fluff nugget just melts my heart. Thank you! I also love the beautiful wearable baskets of eggs, the stunning quality of the new hairstyles and the floral head tattoos are really neat!
Complements to the artist or artist's, on the Versnali items. So many I have to have... Bring on the flowers.. :D
I like that you guys made full-body chocolate bunnies and had the chance to make them cute and I assume decided absolutely not, creepy or nothing. a+++

how edible exactly is this one supposed to be? lolOop! Just to let y'all know, I play on my iPad and tapping to hold doesn't quite work as intended for me! The loading bar appears for a brief second, then the page automatically tries to open the flower image in a new tab and resets. I have no idea if this is a general mobile issue or an iPad issue in particular. Thank you for all your hard work and the gorgeous new items!!

I like the new touch with the real floating items, I find the processus quite smooth! Just so you know, the only thing that is still bugged is when the flower unblocks a new achievement, it says "network error" or something like that, but we still get the flower so it's not a big deal.

That's a bunch of new items! what a nice surprise 🤭. I really love the matcha lattes, they're so cute. About the floating flowers, it doesn't bother me but I think I just need to get used to it.

I don't mind the hold and click thing, but it is throwing me off that it takes a second for them to pop up on the page. Sometimes they don't pop up until I've already clicked off and am waiting for the new page to load.
At least I can go back and still collect them!
(Also that fairy possum plushie is my new favorite thing and I just want him to be wearable so I can see him always)

I am ok with the new floating flowers and yes, hahaha floating items have not "floated" on my screen in years. They were too hard to find in the past so yes, I used the corner cheat thing.

I like the new books. Just waiting for subetalodge to add them so I can mark them as read. The hold on the flowers is OK except when I'm in the middle of trying to do quests.

It's funny reading the feedback here - folks in the shoutbox have said the opposite and like the little tap to earn the item. I know that folks had settled into being able to take a bit of customCSS and make the items appear in the exact same place (which made it very, very easy to automate, which is one of the reasons for the change) and this is the first year I'm changing the formula so that isn't possible. They're called floating items and I don't think they've floated on a single users screen in 10 years ;)
I'll keep making it so that other areas of the site drop them too so that this isn't the only avenue!

I agree that having to click and hold to collect a flower is very awkward, and seems like a downgrade in both accessibility and general QOL. Is there a functional reason for it, like to stop bots from refreshing and collecting flowers?

Really enjoying all the new items, but I have to admit I am really not fond of the click and hold to collect the floating flowers. Feels like I'm getting yanked away as I flow around the site doing my various bits and bobs to do a neither fun nor engaging side thing that takes way too long to actually do.

Is thre a way to stick the floating flower to the upper left corner, and all other floating items on the site? I had that feature and it was great! You could keep the click on the flower and then once the flower is clicked you have a second click and hold, like you do now.
Should I be scrolling all of each page to find the floating items, or do they tend to appear further up on newly-loaded pages?
hooray! i got my first floating flower of the year less than a minute before the notification for the news post showed up and i was like, "wut?? oh! YAY!"
I'm happy that Vesnali has arrived! Please re-consider the floating bouquet mechanism. Click and hold is a slog - I much prefer to click. I also have coding that places the flower in the upper left corner, and that no longer applies with the floating bouquet.
Soooo many items, y'all really outdid yourselves this year! Absolutely gorgeous stuff, major props to the artist(s)! <3
