Lost Accounts Update



Originally when I posted the news post about lost accounts, I was under the impression that 50 or less accounts had been lost due to the power outage. Under new information, this number seems to be far greater, more than any of the administrators can handle. An script will be written to help users recover their accounts. This script may take up to a day to complete, so the rule on not playing the site has been removed, you may play, however, any pets you adopt will be deleted or placed into the pound if there are no remaining pet slots in the original account. Thank your for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvinance. We will do our best to rectify this issue in a timely manner.

I want to apologize for my outburst the other day. I have tired of waiting, so I started to build on this account regardless of whether or not I will be getting my lost account back. The only thing that upset me so much about my lost account was that I had just paid and activated a two month gold account. Reading the FAQ for gold accounts I learned that any time lost on the gold account is just that, lost, so I won't have two months if I ever get my old account back, I'll have whatever remains of those two months. Please someone give us an update.

I agree with Triciazeling; and it would be nice to know whether or not are we EVER going to get our accounts back. I worked hard on mine and I'm sure there are people who were here longer and lost their accounts, too. I think we all would appreciate to know that at least someone's still working on it, or that someone will be.

My friend donated $100 to the site so I could get my two new pets I had about a week before I went to work and lost it all. I miss them. I worked hard for the 5-6 months I have been here to get my 12 pets. I was close to getting another MDP for 2 more pets. All I want is my account back then I'll be a happy person again.

Penelo, the script they are making will not be given to each individual who lost their account. The script is to help the staff members find the lost information, and for everyone that sent in their account info, all the staff would have to do is in the coding for those members, put the info from the lost account. I believe that is how the script will work, it will override any info you might have, such as pets, shops, and your vault info, unless like they said on the pets it doesn't go over your limit.

I don't mind them releasing new regular items, but when they release new token shop items those of us without our accounts loose out because we don't have the tokens we've been saving up and only can do Widzard quests and hope to make enough, all while only having room for 50 items. Please can we atleast know why it's taking so long? I'm about to go crazy. ;-;

It's actually not that easy to play without being able to use the vault. :/ My inventory keeps getting full over and over again. Yeah, I know, we can use the vault, but I really don't want to risk using it. ._.

-sigh- I'm getting bored. If it weren't for my friends I would leave to do other things. I miss my pets. I would like to see an update at least. I wasn't even home when my account was lost in the power outage. I too can't make as much money as I use to. I'm not mad, just irritated a bit. Please just let us know what is happening. Thank you.

I'm not angry with the admin releasing new items, because new items are not my business. Quests and games are how I make my sP. But I can't play the one quest that pays out the most because I no longer have enough sP to play them (Sagi quests for anyone who might be confused). And I have the same problem as sweetgirl, I purchased my GA the day prior to losing my account, so you can see why I might be a little irked by this.

What I am angry about, is that I just recently bought 2 months worth of gold account... and I have not been able to enjoy those "priviledges" for a week now. That is seven days of my GA that have gone to waste.

By the way, the people putting up new items are the artists and Assistant Admins, not people working on the script. Not every admin on this site is able to go through and make scripts. So before your start yelling at half the staff that has absolutely no power over restoring accounts, please consider that.

Sweetgirl if you read the message at the top of this page that David posted, it says " this script may take up to a day" so to be waiting longer than that is a little crazy, especially since some people did get their accounts back. What about the rest of us that lost our accounts?

I don't remember them saying a day, but I do remember that there were some people who got their accounts in the beginning ofthe week, and no one has since them. It would be nice to actually see a little progress or an update or something. And putting out all of these items in the token shop is totally unfair.

ONE WEEK! WTH! Why are we still waiting, I'm beyond irritated, and moving on to pissed. Why hasn't David come on to explain that hey it's taking longer than we expected, that'd be better than just not being available. One day has turned into a week without an apology for the time. I fully understand that these things take a little bit of time, but don't us it'll be a day and then make us a wait a week plus.

You're probably all working very hard to help us (and I appreciate that) but honestly...releasing items in the Token Shop and coming out with so many new items doesn't exactly solve OUR problem.

I hope there isn't a time limit to when accounts can be bought back, I ain't one to complaine and I won't but I'm a little on the worried side since admin inboxes are full, making it unable to send old account details. It is taking longer then they said it would but at least they're trying to get them back, most sites wouldnt even bother trying and that alone makes the wait worth it. It is by no means easy to do and would take time even if it was. Either way all we can do is be patient and wait to see what happens, wishing it went faster won't make it do so.<br />

You can't put items in your vault or shop, you risk losing them when you do manage to get your shop back.<br />
I agree though, this is taking too long. It has almost been a week since it happened.

Where's David, his inbox is full, and he hasn't been on in days, I thought this script was going to take a day! I can't play games anymore unless they don't give out items, my inventory is almost full, grrrr! I'm also losing out on money spent for a gold account, this is getting ridiculous. I'm sure it's much harder on staff then users though. Sure, a missing account sucks, big time. imagine being on staff having to fix SO many accounts plus all the other problems. I mean look at the bug page, thats a lot of bugs and time the staff are putting into it. They are doing a wonderfully amazing job on this and all the other problems. Think of the mail and comments the staff get daily. Honestly, if I had an account with any less the like Ten million or so I'd just let it go. Thats me though. <br />
If it's minor I would wait to bother staff about it now. Seriously I was about to mail David about a small profile problem looking at his comments it's not worth bugging him about right now. I'd have nervous eye twitches having to hear problem after problem. xD

David, you said that the shops and vaults won't be merged, but what will happen to the wardrobe? Will those items be merged?<br />

Also, you said that trade lots would be merged. You can only have up to ten trade lots at a time, though. What if the total number of trade lots after the merge was more than ten? Would some of the lots be deleted, then?

It's good to know that the mods are working so hard with the affected people to fix this, instead of just looking at the number of lost accounts and saying, "That's too many, they'll just have to start over."<br />

I have completely started over since my first account vanished (it was only 6 hours old when it vanished). I have the max number of pets now, so will two of my pets be disowned and replaced with the original two? I don't really want that to happen. Should I empty my vault and shop now? if i may be so bold ... perhaps this is an extra good time to visit the cash shop and buy as many donation items or GA medals as we can afford, since this is bound to be costing the staff a *lot* even if it's in hours of donated labor. i for one plan to spend as much as i can there. and if a bunch of us pour in over and above what we would normally do, perhaps it will really help a lot.

Items you restock will be kept, since there is no actual limit on those. However, be aware that any shops you create will be deleted. I forgot to mention that in my post.
