To me what would be unfair would be to just let our users sit here with almost nothing to do. I can't release new items since the shops are down, so I'm doing what I can. These particular items are re-releases.

HighlandLass sadly I have to disagree, you said "Just because you found a way to get online here doesn't mean you are more dedicated." yes it does it only takes a search engine and a few clicks to get here, the link was posted in irc and subeta fansites all you had to do is look on it, if you can't be bothered to look then you must not want to get online that badly. I'll say it again what's the harm in making the people who are online, want the items and can afford them happy? Why can't people be happy because at least some parts of site work? Why can't you (and all the complainers) be happy for the people who got something out of this? I don't know about the people who aren't able to access the site on this address but since Keith told us we can access the site from www.subetax.org maybe there's something wrong with their browsers or they nees to clear out their cookies :/

Thanks so much for the snarky advice! I live in the real world thank you so much and I DO know what true unfairness is. The whole comparison to a potion restock when some people are asleep misses the mark entirely as that is an outside of Subeta personal issue. The user chose to go to sleep and Subeta has no control over that. In this case it is not the masses fault that Subeta is having host issues(nor is it really Subeta's fault, but more so their provider). The average user did not choose to be unable to access Subeta for the last few days. Therefore the onus is on Subeta to level the playing field for things that happen during this time period as they DID choose to release the items when so few people can actually get signed on. And with that I will shut up as I don't want to fight or go on the trouble list that seems to be forming.

Just because you found a way to get online here doesn't mean you are more dedicated. There are some people who cannot access the site using any combo(ie: subeta.org, subeta.net, subetax.com, the IP addy, etc). It just means you are lucky if you can get here. The items themselves are very nice and I understand the staff wanting to try to normalize the situation here as much as possible. That being said, I really hope they play fair and leave these items in the Token Shop for a while after the site is back to full functionality so all users will have at least a reasonable shot at getting them if they want them. I too am waiting for subetaDB to come back so I can see the weapon stats. <img src=http://75.126.226.189/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0>

I am an ASSISTANT Admin. Which means I have not the capacity to do anything whatsoever about the actual site issues myself, nor do the other AA's. Would you prefer that we all just sit idly by and do nothing at all? Easter needed retired, so I did that. The Token Shop is never supposed to be totally empty, which it was. I was nice; I didn't add an OMG FABULOUS new item, I merely put back in a few old previously released items that there were already some of on the site, so that there would at least be something in there. The Trivia had to be changed because it was at just under 1500 answers, so I did that as well. I didn't add any new items because I had heard complaints that the shops aren't working properly. I might yet add a new free gift, however, as I'm able to do that. Those of us who don't have the ability to help with the technical aspects of the site are at least trying to do something to provide things for the users to do. <img src=http://75.126.226.189/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0>

It still doesn't change thing; this is pointless to many. Not everyone hoards tokens like there's no tomorrow. Some people aren't able to benefit from this at all, and we do have a right to be able to complain or be upset over things. I'm not going to go gaga because you where able to get something from the tokenshop.

I see what the problem is and I could care less. Frankly, if people miss out beacuse they weren't online, you wouldn't gripe about that, would you? Same difference... It would just be nice to be able to get the tokens, is all I'm asking. Earthen there are plenty of people who hoard tokens if you're not one of them well it's your loss not theirs. If releasing these items makes some people happy then it's worth releasing it just for those people. Every time the token shop restock people have either complained that it didn't restock when they were awake (I'm guilty of doing it twice myself when potions restocked) or because there were so many items being released they didn't have time/tokens to buy them all so you can't please all but at least this would have made some people's day better.So please stop complaining DebiLee's just trying to give us something to do while we wait!

I don't even know what's going on. . .all i know is the site was gone and I was confused, so I checked the LJ subeta comm and found the link to the IP site... I'm just going to go and enjoy other parts of life until the site is back up and running well, a break from subeta isn't gonna kill me.

Trucker, it's just that there is no point to this. How do they expect us to make money to buy tokens to buy items when there are no ways to earn money on the site- unless you wait around in trades for something to go for a lower price, purchase that and wait for people to buy it from you for days? There are only a limited amount in shops and trades, and pretty soon things will sky rocket in price for those of us who are online, thus leading to a rather poor time in subeta history... somewhat like what the Real Life stock market crash did to global economy. There is very, VERY little money being produced in the games, not nearly enough to counter what is occurring. I'd prefer updates on what is going on with the site over this.

Yes, while this is all good and fun, I have to agree with some people here; it would be a great help if we where able to do things to get the tokens to get the items. x: Not everyone hoards tokens, and I myself sell them off when I make them on quests as a major part of my daily income.

I do see it as those of us who are here are those of us addicted enough to get off (or on...) our butts and attempt a yahoo or google search to see what happened to the site. Because that's all it takes to get here. I'm sorry for those of you who are here and have to spend money on tokens... all I can say is maybe after this try eeping some in your vault? I always keep 1000 in reserve for emergencies... by the time you can earn them, the good stuff is gone anyway. And Rustyblu, 200 should get 200 people that item, since you do have to wait 12 hours before a second purchase, it's not like I can buy 4 of them straight off.

I doubt tokens inflate much really. The 10K token is worth around 20K, there are around 200 at that price... and there are over 1000 of them for sale at 35K. So with the small amount of users on I don't see them all selling out and becoming really high.

Rustyblu, I just gave the explanation, why tokens won't inflate any more than they usually do, when new items restock in the Token shop. Most people use, what they have in their vault, anyway.

well, luckily I always keep extra tokens in reserve... it does feel a little unfair to keep udating when so many are not able to be here... but maybe think of it as a reward for finding the site? All I did was search Subeta on yahoo to try and see what was going on, and a Yahoo! answers question came up where someone gave this emergency IP. I still think a news post saying what's going on would be super. Not having one makes people feel their concerns are being ignored just like those...other places do.

Guys I think she's just trying to give us something to do. ANYone can find the IP address link just by using a Google search of Subeta. That's how I found it, and it took me less than two minutes to find it.
I didn't even think of doing the IP before that.
Shops are not RSing and quest's are not resetting either so things are already being done as a favor to the people who aren't here... I've SPENT Sp while the site has been down and not made it because of this... (and my boredom and urge to shop).
I'm for one glad to see ANY kind of updates at all.
