I was quite proud of my idea...I really liked the character info I thought up. I can't draw though, so the art is blah...I did it on paint. Even if he did get picked as a top five, I have a feeling I wouldn't stand a chance...
lmao well i guess here's hoping... i really struggled to keep my npc's info confined to the 1,000 character limit! there were so many more things i wanted to say about them! i hope i got enough across that their amazingness will be appreciable...

that could have been cool, make the NPC three brothers (or sisters) with like an accessory or hair style change for each and have them all be the shopkeepers since (generic shopkeeper #28495) lost the rotation schedule for this week :D

I remembered to make one last minute, but it was generic shop keeper #239856. Come to think of it, I should have used that as the character concept: it was in fact a series of about 10 rotating interchangeable NPCs all selling the same stock just like in an RPG. Somehow, I don't think that was the character niche the staff was looking to fill though.
And now I'm insecure. Will my character be chosen? I tried to make him appealing writing-wise, but when it's only 5 entries, it gets WAY harder to know...
I managed my submission one day early.... because I was sick before that and had the dates wrong! I would have worked on her more!!!
I hope they show us all the submissions not just the top ones, I kindda wanna see what everyone dreamed up! That's half the fun IMO.

Oh gosh I totally forgot about the beanbag design, darn it! I had a story and everything, just needed to draw it. All the fails.
All aboard the NPC entry self-doubt train. On some level, I am pleased with what I've produced, but on another, much greater level, I know that the line art was wonky, the shading laughable, and the overall concept is just boring. Not a chance.
happy to myself that i managed to get mine in time. however my chances of the bobbleheads are gone again.....
At the end of the day, they are going to redesign the winner, our pitches are just a blueprint on what to go for if it wins. So, Its a 50/50 on character and story I would say?

Haha, I think I got my submission in on time, but it was SO last minute I didn't have time to fill in the extra info bits! Haha. Oh well.
