Phineas is not amused by being in this miserable griffin body. He is much more sophisticated than these animals! Of course, he can't convince a human of his polite personality, and often finds himself getting shot at instead. He really should try to have intelligent conversations with his own species anymore. What caused now-middle aged Phineas to develope this 'humanistic' nature compaired to most feral griffins, is that one day, an elderly sociliate found him as a baby, the poor little old lady under the impression he was her missing cat! She didn't notice the wings or talons, apparently, and dubbed the griffin cub Phineas, keeping him as an exotic pet as soon as she realised (apon the help of the house's dismay of keeping a griffin in the house). After she passsed on some years later, the help couldn't bring themselves to let go the griffin, as he had grown accustomed to the life of a pet and probably couldn't survive in the wild, or so they thought. They locked him up in his own room when the old lady's grandson claimed the estate, him being completely oblivious to the 'wild' animal living in his home. However, a few more years later, after he had found out, in a desperate fit of anger and fear, the grandson let Phineas free without so much as a warning. Since then, Phineas has been trying to cope with living in the forest. While he basically has retained his instincts, he is very finicky as a result, and while physically able and powerful, he prefers not to pick fights. He is very gentle around humans as a result of his upbringing, but not many will give him the chance. He dislikes things he deems 'silly' (see: everything), and is rather bitter and egotistical, but polite and slow to anger as well.
