My Story

Hi! My name is Saxon. I'm a six moth old, 70 pound, German Koolie at least that's what they tell me. I'm mostly black in color but I have tan legs, a tan stripe on my curly tail and two twin tan blotches on my chest.

I'm a pretty good guy, well, most of the time. It takes just as much effort to mess up as it does to get it right, you know. I have a big family; a mom, a dad, a sister, two brothers and a cat. Mom is the best, she takes me for walks and feeds me. Dad always scolds me when he catches me chewing on furniture, but he always shares his crackers with me so I don't complain. Charity is my play toy, she runs with me in the backyard and plays hide and go seek with me. She's pretty cool too, she's taught me lots of cool tricks and gives me treats when I do them right. I love learning new things... and I love food. Sam spends most of his time downstairs but I like him, he lets me sit on his lap and lick his bald head. It feels funny on my tongue. Jordan doesn't live at the house but he likes to come play with me, he's lots of fun too. The cat, well.. he's a cat. He always runs away from me when I try to get a hug plus his claws are really sharp.

There are many things that I like other than my family. I like lots of foods, in fact I eat pretty much anything. The foods I love the most are baby carrots, crackers, rawhide, yogurt containers and ice cream buckets. Though I'm usually well behaved sometimes my family leaves their food left unattended and it smells so good! I remember the time I stole a whole loaf of bread and the time I drank mom's hot chocolate and ate her oatmeal. Once I even ate Dad's salad and Charity's books. Apparently they were being figurative when they said that you'd "eat your words". Who knew? And when they said I'd eat them out of house and home I figured they were talking about the couches, but no, apparently I just have a big appetite.

Another thing I love is exercise. There are so many things to smell on our walk and mom doesn't understand why I have to pee in front of every other house. It's a guy thing. My sister likes to take me to the park. There are usually lots of kids there and I like to play with them. We also get to do some tricks. The balance beam is hard, but the slide is so much fun! It helps that I always get a treat at the bottom. The back yard is big with lots of room for me to run in, but I don't like to be out there by myself. I like it when Charity throws the frisbee or my rope-bone for me. In the winter the snow is the greatest! I like to bury my head in the icy blanket and play catch with snowballs.

Out of all the things I like, the thing I love the most is cuddling with my family. I love being near them and just leaning against their legs while they watch TV is enough for me, though I can sometimes get away with laying on the couch with them. Even in the van I like to be near them, I like to sit on their lap, but if I'm stuck in the backseat, I like to rest me head on the center console so they can pet me. At bedtime I like to sleep in the hallway right outside Charity's door and I'd climb in bed with her if she left the door open. She tells me that I snore and I like to think I inherited it from my dad... even though we don't look anything alike. But there is nothing that makes me happier than knowing that I have a family that loves me even when I'm being a bad boy.
