Character Summary

Contrary to what his name implies, Pharaoh is not a ruler. In fact he isn't even royalty in the traditional sense. He is a pet belonging to the royal family in an alternate reality version of Egypt. His name came from the fact that he is viewed as a living symbol of the king's power and a connection to the gods for the people of the land. Over the years the palace servents and guards began to call him by the Pharaonic title, and it has stuck. Pharaoh is something of grump. The palace is not equipped to meet his mental needs, and so he is often left bored and frustrated. As a result he is somewhat dangerous for humans to interact with directly, for he has been known to take this frustration out on people who get too close to him when he is in a foul mood. He also cannot fly. Though his wings are proportionate to his body size and he has never taken damage to them, a life spent in forced leisure have left his flight muscles incredibly weak. He is kept in an enclosed courtyard most days, and while it has plenty of room for him to walk and move about comfortably the bars criss-crossing the top of the enclosure are too low to the ground to allow him to exercise his wings properly.
