History: Mazaru was born to a well-to-do traditional family in the Fire Nation. While his mother was a non-bender his father was a fire bender and blacksmith. He taught this skill to his older brother, Hiroshi. His father knew he could not have Mazaru also a blacksmith as well when he came along. His father turned to his close friend, Jiro, as a mentor for Mazaru. Jiro was a master of leather working and just as talented at fire bending. Mazaru had been very interested in his fire bending ability and dedicated a lot of time and energy to his training. Jiro would take him up into the mountains of the Fire Nation to do rigorous training. It was during these training sessions Mazaru ended up finding his pumagoat, Kenta. While Kenta was only very young then Mazaru took care of him as his own. They were almost inseparable. During this time Mazaru did lots of studying into the past of the fire nation. It was in this studying he learned of being a long descendant of Avatar Roku and of the great 100 year war. He also found his determination to use his gift of fire bending for good. He hated the awful stereotype that had been put on fire benders since the war and wished to change the face of fire benders in people's eyes. When he was old enough he choose to leave the Fire Nation and move to Republic City with Kenta where he would dedicate himself to helping others.
