Many eons ago when the universe was still new, the big bang and the energy from that outpouring of energy created two different gods, one neutral/good and one bad, destructive, for creation cannot exist without destruction and at some point, everything must die.
Nein, whose name means, no, the absence of everything was the destruction deity that was created from the massive surge of energy that created the universe. It exists only to destroy, to undo creation itself. Its polar opposite is Nascent, a deity whose name means coming into existence. These two deities are complete opposites of each other, one yin and one yang, light and darkness.
But both must exist, for eventually every star, every planet, every being, will cease to exist, and it is Nein who will bring about their destruction.
