Witchy found me, frozen in ice. I had been cursed.
The blasted pirate captain had a potion from an evil Hag. Somehow, he was able to pour it in my drink without me seeing him. The next thing I knew, I was frozen in this ice cube.

Face it. I had screwed up, trusting some one just because we had worked together for years. My own fault. After all the experience we had gone through, I actually let my guard down with him.
I should have known better. It's always the one we trust the most, that screw you in the end.

The Captain always did covet me. He knew my secret. How I can change myself into any metal or gem. I think he thought if I was frozen, he could sell me for a chest full of gold. But instead, whatever potion the Hag had given him, didn't work as he thought it was going to. It encased me in a block of ice instead.

If it wasn't for Witchy trying to find (and get even with that) Evil Hag, I would still be there, sitting on his dresser, in that blasted little cabin of his.

That's ok. The Witchy killed him for me. Well, she didn't mean to. But he wasn't going to let her take me out of that cabin. When they started fighting, I really didn't have much hope. It was obvious that all that 'rainbow smoke' that surrounded her, wasn't giving her any special fighting skills. But the luck was with her. That stupid Captain actually fell on his own sword! I couldn't believe that happen! That is one thing about the Witchy. The luck is with her.

With the Captain dead, like most spells, this one was broken, and I was restored to my beautiful silver self. Weak. But alive and able to MOVE.

As soon as I was free, the witch grabbed me, threw me around her neck (well, her hands WERE full of the captains other treasures, she said she wasn't leaving there, without some sort of re-compass for all the trouble he gave her) and out the door we went. She brought me back to Atebus (she's got a sweet apartment in Zaria City!)

Witchy says I don't have to do anything. I can leave it if want. But I must admit. I like hanging out with her and the others that she's "collected/adopted" over the years. She has such interesting adventures.
