Fire was said to be the only killer in life...but when a life is so precious...you take it by the hand and run....run as far as you can...

Dark looked over the cliff side carefully observing each detail in his sight for signs of movement, he gasped as an elm tree in the distance rustled, he lept from the cliffside down to the ground, the impact rumbling the area around him, his boots digging into the dirt and began sprinting as far as he could get to where the source was...his heart pounding faster with every step before he broke through the foliage....

"Hello?"

There was the rustle of leaves before a dark wolf like creature lept from the depths of the foliage, he lept up and landed onto Dark's helpless body...

"Why have you come here?......This is my territory..."

Dark shuffled in the creatures grasp, his dark blue gaze set on Darks' a low growling came from the creatures throat into the air

"Why have you come here to hell....I do not what nothing to do with the humans..."

Dark pushed at the creatures body, he flung it into the air and he jolted up onto his feet, his hands burned like he had touched hot coals...the creature kept his gaze fixed to Darks..

"What are you?"

Dark stood there fixed in a internal gaze, his body shaking with fear as a carbon dioxide type gas eminated from the creatures skin

"I am Abraxos....Leader of this forest...Archangel of Death!..I demand you leave now!"

Dark took a few steps forward towards towards Abraxos....he breathed deepily before taking more eventually reaching touching distance of him...he growled at Dark quietly...

"I wont hurt you...I just came here looking for my friend Elucid..."

Abraxos sat down on his hind legs quietly before allowing Dark to stroke his skin...as Dark touched the rock that was the creatures skin...it cooled down and the orange flowing liquid died off....Dark held out his palm quietly and let him quietly sniff and lick it for his scent...

"I am an angel...I am sorry I frightened you young one...things have not always been this way..."

Dark looked down to the dirt to see Abraxos small paw prints in it...they slowly glowed revealing handprints from a human, Dark traced them with his index before sitting down on the floor and stroking Abraxos fur..

"This was Azraels' doing...I was protector of this forest..."

" I cannot escape this area...not now...not ever...if we are to be friends...you must promise me this.."

Abraxos looked to the dirt before lifting his head, standing up and howling before running off....in the direction of the deep woods...Dark cried out before following him through the forest on foot...Darks' speed was no match for the wolves, Abraxos caught speed very quickly and before Dark knew it he was lost in the maze what was Abrax woods, Dark cried out again in search of him but to no avail there was no answer, Dark retraced his steps quickly and quietly before cutting through the foliage with his machete and came to a stream, he cupped his hands together taking a short burst of water to the face before continuing up the stream, a wolf was sat at the side of it further down but he appeared hurt....Dark ran down to him and noticed Abraxos

"Oh Abraxos....what has happened?"

"I am changing....I feel a power inside..."

A burst of light filled the area and Abraxos was gone before Dark's very eyes...Dark gasped and tears formed in his eyes, Abraxos had left him...what about the promise...the promise that was never told...

"Dark....I have not left you my friend..."

Dark stood up and looked around....quietly from the stream a orb of light rose into the air and formed a figure...the light suddenley burst into particles that scattered around the area...it was....Abraxos protector of the forest...

"Abraxos...you didn't leave me..."

"I would never leave a friend alone....by finding the pure of a humans heart...I was able to return to my old form...and for that I thank you dearly my friend..."

"But Abraxos...what now?....what about that secret?"

"My boy....it was less of a secret than anything...but what i must ask of you...is this..."

"I wish for you to come back....each and everyday....and speak with me about the outside world...."

Dark nodded quietly and smiled to him before Abraxos returned the nod and smile, Abraxos closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them...he blew a orb of light into the air and let it drift down to Dark's face...before it exploded into a million flowers....it was a blessing.....a flower kiss of Nature....

"Come back tommrow.....Don't forget me...."

Abraxos slowly disappeared into thin air leaving Dark behind, before Dark slowly began to walk home....
