Wanna know what I learned today? Human thigh bones are supposedly stronger than concrete.
I found it pretty hilarious.
Because your bones are so strong and, somehow, everything else about you is so weak.
You had everything going for you, little one. Absolutely everything. Strong bones and a sturdy ladder and people cheering you on...
And yet you still didn't make it?
You breathe on average about 18 million times a year. All those wheezing gasps of air and you somehow fucked it up and now here you are. People would've killed for your opportunities and you laid them to waste like a wad of gum in the street.
They believed in you. And you disappointed them. You weren't even worth their time.
Did you know those kill birds, by the way? The wads of gum that get thrown on the street. Yeah, the poor things mistake them for food and then die a slow, agonizing death. Then the bloated flesh rots off their bones and their skeleton sits around undiscovered for days and days and days until they disappear into nothingness and no one even knows it ever existed."
And I listened to this voice for years and years and years until I finally realized...
It was lying.
Because the average human only breathes 5 million times a year.
Maybe he's wrong about the other things too.
