Love is believed to have always been a driving force of our society, almost to the calibre that religion and beliefs have been. A man by the name of Clark Michaels invented a way to â€œbrandâ€ people at birth, to genetically encode them with a way to find their one true love. The implementation of this operation was considered a widespread success since itâ€™s inception.
This â€œprocedureâ€, this â€œoperationâ€, it brought a whole new revolution to, not only the country, but the world.
The brand, known to our people as Eros, is a serum that is injected into children when they are born. There are always two identical serums, which are distributed across the world to all known hospitals at random, that share the same coding. Once the serum is injected into the bloodstream, it creates a chemical reaction that causes a strange marking to surface on the nape of the neck. This â€œmarkâ€ glows and burns the closer you are to your significant other, and cools and dims the farther you are from them. This, in essence, created a worldwide â€œhot or coldâ€ game for every human being born after itâ€™s implementation. Every child is required to be injected with the mark at birth, and it is now illegal to be with anyone that does not share the same code.
What seemed like a good idea at the time, has become a disaster for the newer generations. Weâ€™ve condemned our children to a wild goose chase for their one true love, and stripped them of what would potentially be their hopes and dreams. They are taught that finding love is all that matters, and someone no one thought that this could ever go wrong.
