His business was commonly called being a 'hitman'. Many of his clients didn't know they were employing someone like him. A vampire, that is. But of course they gushed how impressed they were with his talents, the stealth, the skill, the quickness that he performed his duties. And because of his stellar reputation, he could afford to charge boatloads of money. He lived rather luxuriously, and he enjoyed that part of his life.
It rarely bothered him that he had only one parent growing up. In fact he had barely given it a thought since he was a young man. Young being his lower twenties. He was now nearing eighty years old. His mother had become ill last year and he feared this was the end for her. She was a delicate thing, the poor human species was so weak.
He did love his mother though. And she had given him a name. The name of his father. He'd known growing up that his father was not human. Not anymore. And since he had clearly been born with all the wonderful abilities and talents his father possessed because of his supernatural-ness, he knew he was probably still alive out there somewhere.
Nathan's mother had encouraged him to go find him, get to know him because she wouldn't be around much longer, and he found himself torn.
Should he pursue the name she gave him? Matteo Guerriero... She had the name and where she last knew him to be. She said he had no idea he had a kid, don't be too mad at him. But how could he not?
