Dear Diary,Frost Haven. Rumor had it the place didn't really exist. Not surprising since the few people who have made it here did not survive the return trip home. Stories say that Frost Haven is nothing but frigid temperatures, mounds of snow, and ice as far as the eye can see. I set out to find Frost Haven. After a 38 day journey, I finally arrived. I couldn't believe my eyes - I still can't. The place is beautiful! Stories of ice caves, blizzards, snow monsters, and death surely do not do the place justice. Frost Haven is calm, peaceful, and the place sparkles like diamonds in the sun. The sound of the waterfall is almost musical - giving the place pure perfection.Struggling from the cold journey here, it took every ounce of my energy to travel towards the waterfall. I fell several times, losing count. I was close enough to the waterfall I could feel the icy mist against my nose and cheeks. On my stomach by this time, I pulled myself just close enough to reach the waterfall, but as my arm extended, I blacked out completely.When I finally awoke, I was warm. I stood up wondering where I was. "Hello?" I asked, not really expecting an answer. "Is anyone here?"Looking around, I noticed that I must be in some sort of cave. In the distance, I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a small puddle. Perfect! I'm so thirsty!Reaching the puddle, I caught a reflection of myself and I was speechless. No longer did I wear the boots and winter coat. My hair, which I expected to be a mess, was done up nicely and I was dressed in a beautiful blue and white dress. I was so confused, I forgot about my thirst and immediately began searching for answers.When I finally found the exit to the cave, I ran towards it. The sun shone bright, I couldn't see a thing! However, when my eyes finally adjusted, all I could see was the waterfall, sparkling in front of me. Completely in awe, I walked towards it. This time, when I reached for it, I felt the water hit my skin, immediately turning to ice and splashing into the lake beneath me. Wait... The lake is beneath me... I was walking on water!"Be careful, Jay." A voice came from ... where did it come from? It came from everywhere!I looked around everywhere. "Down here."I looked down, a gorgeous koi fish swam right beneath my feet. The most beautiful creature I had ever seen! Without having to ask, I knew it was Laveena, the Winter Spirit. She was amazing. Her scales the purest white with an icy toned pattern. She herself seemed to sparkle when the sun rays hit her just right."Laveena..." I whispered."Yes Jay. Welcome to Frost Haven."Completely speeches for what seemed like hours, I finally gathered my thoughts. "What... How... Is this?" (Okay perhaps I didn't gather them that well.)"Jay, you cannot survive in these temperatures. Many have traveled here and passed on. But I've been waiting for you. There is trouble in the spirit realms."Speechless still, I continued to listen."There are six spirit realms: Earth, Ice, Fire, Death, Air, and Water. The spirit of the Fire realm has become strong with power that has corrupted her. She intends to destroy Frost Haven as well as the Earth and Water realms. I can only imagine she plans to do the same to The air realm and possibly even tamper with Death. The other 5 realms have opted to choose one person to fight for us in battle. It won't be long before the Fire realm does the same. Jay, I know this is a lot to take it, but I need you."Still processing everything that was being thrown, I could only mutter a few words, "I... I accept. I will defend the Ice Realm.""Thank you Jay, Goddess of Ice. Your training starts tonight."What on Earth have I gotten myself into.-Jay
