A mutation of the netherspark Valentinus or Val for short seeks to cause havoc across Kratyr starting with heart of the continent: Myrn. Capable of shape shifting, Val takes great care in keeping his identity a true secret. Since the magic in the lands diminished following the Collapse, Val had been able to do this without much of an issue. No one could read auras properly after all. That was until the kings of old returned to their thrones. The only one who could properly take care of Val would be someone able to bend the netherspark to his will. Antonius Lucis was the one threat that Val knew he had to take care of before it was too late and returned to power.
