Moments of bad and those of good,
Never thinking it’s fate he courts,
He lives a life he thought he should.
Ne’er had a man thought long,
His decisions should be watched 'n weighed.
The choices to him, they do belong,
But his fate has since been laid.
In the shadows creeping by,
A slithering fiend he doth spy.
Watching through those golden eyes,
Justice itself, it comes for thy.
A fiery grin flashed so vivid,
Blazing eyes so watchful now,
The fox doth stalk the man so timid,
Lawful fate he brings as vowed.
Slinking closer, circling ‘round and ‘round,
The scorching fox inspects his prey.
Paws fall silent ‘pon the ground
Though in arm’s length he doth stay.
Lantern swing to and fro,
The man stands so enthralled.
Flashes of his past, they flow,
Snapshots of a life unequalled.
Ne’er before had the man so thought,
His life was worth a second look.
But as he watched the clips turn naught,
He knew his life the fox forsook.
Begging, crying, the man tried hard,
To convince the fox that he was good.
But the fox had seen the lives he scarred,
And fate he brought just as he should.
