I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?

It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you

She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you

I've seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time you'd let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me do you?

Remember when I moved in you?
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you

It's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Free running. They lived, ate and breathed it. It was his life and he loved it. There was no question in the CREW household who was the most dedicated to it. If White could have married free running he would have. He would spend hours every day practicing. Practice, practice, practice - he would do the same move over and over until he had utter perfection. It wasn't enough just to do a move until he got it right, he would do it until he was incapable of doing it wrong. It didn't bore him, it drove him forward, drove him up. He wanted to be better at free running, he dreamed of being the best.

Although White knew he had stiff competition in that regard. Four of the other best free runners he'd ever met were his roomies. That's why they were there after all, they were good and they knew it. But there was always room for improvement, always something out there to learn, and that's why they were all here - to see what they could do. What else could they learn? It had seemed like a strange idea at first, that someone would be willing to give him a place to live and 'job' to work - about practicing his skills to become better as a free runner. But here he was, living his dream, and his most pressing need in life? To see what sort of cool things he vault off of, lache from, and cat grab to. White couldn't be much happier.

White eyed up his competition daily - he knew their skills and personal repertoire as intimately as his own. Aku's flexibility granted him a smoother underbar pass - and so White practiced those until his shoulders would tolerate no more. Mockingbird's aerials were simply unmatched in grace - White wondered if it was the size difference (he had a good foot and sixty pounds on her) or the body shape, alas he wasn't sure he was willing to grow boobs for the cause. There was also no doubt in his mind that that Mucalinda was better on rail running. White could run over a hundred meters on a metal rail, but Mucalinda could do nearly 200 meters - White would spend hours pacing up and down rails, refusing to let his feet touch flat ground. And then there was Prophecy. Oh how White envied the height Prophecy had on a wall climb. White charged walls for hours, days, weeks on end trying to equal what Prophecy could, and yet with all the speed he could muster, one step, two step or three step climbs, he still could never seem to beat Prophecy. It seemed every time he could eek out another inch or two, so did Prophecy.

It wasn't as though White was bad at what he did, certainly not. White had the greatest technical understanding of the CREW runners, with undoubtedly the largest repertoire of tricks under his belt. Wall spins? He couldn't resist doing them when walking next to a straight wall for any length of time. Reverse vaults? He couldn't just sit on the couch to watch TV, he had to do one of those over the couch. Kong vaults? Why do just one when you could do a double or triple? The list went on, and it was said only in half-jest that White may well know (and be able to do) every free running trick known. His endurance and willingness to go practice was nothing to laugh at. He was the driving force of the house, if ever anyone wanted to go run, he was the first to volunteer to go along, regardless of whether it was the crack of dawn, after he had just gotten done practicing for hours on end, the middle of the night even. Truly, White didn't just drive himself forward, he drove them all. When one of the other lower ranked members of the street gang wanted help or had questions, they came to White, even though it was Prophecy who led the CREW. White, in his never tiring love for free running was always thrilled to extol his virtues and demonstrate, critique and lead classes with them on any technique. Practice made perfect, and he was always looking for something new to practice.

Certainly he was not without his vices, his drive for perfection had its flaws. White was terribly vain and it was not uncommon to find him staring in a mirror or occupying the bathroom for grooming purposes - something he and Mockingbird argued over regularly. She often accused him of 'primping' more than a woman. It may well have been true. White spent an inordinate amount of time making sure his vertebral spines were properly filed down flat. Contrary to popular belief his spines were not bone, but keratinized protein, much like hair or fingernails. It wasn't without reason, the spines made a proper roll impossible, a vital skill in free running. Although that didn't explain the time he spent on his hair, or his teeth, or his immaculately groomed tail. When anyone bothered to ask why, especially in the general vicinity of Prophecy, his usual response was, "Well I certainly plan on looking a sight more becoming than Prophecy when I take over CREW."

This was usually enough to get the normally stoic leader chasing after him, intent upon knocking some sense into White - upside his head. A game of free running tag generally ensued, and some believe White does it all just for an excuse to egg Prophecy on. After all, its another reason to go out and practice some cool moves.
