A black muzzle poked itself out of a leaf den. The animal took in a deep breath and exhaled foggy air. Spring was finally on its way. As more of the creature emerged, you could see his true color; almost pure white except for the extremities. Green plated armor covered part of the beast's body, quite unusual. He took a step out into the forest and a fresh patch of grass emerged around him; another step and the tree's were starting to bud. Quickly, a smile moved onto the creature's face and he burst out into a sprint! The forest erupted with new life and color all around. Birds started to sing their songs after a long hard winter and animals were emerging from their winter dens. Spring had finally arrived.

Seriin was an odd creature; no one knew what exactly he was. His mother was a wolf, that is without question, but where he got his unique gift was beyond anyone. He wished he could ask his mother who his father had been, but she had died in the long hard winter after raising her pups. Only he and his brother had survived. After his mother's death, the pair survived until they were old enough to fend for themselves. His brother was missing one morning after he woke up. Maybe one day they would meet again. Seriin hoped that his brother had some answers for him about his powers. It has been over two years since then. Last winter, he had learned of his special power to welcome spring to the forest. A very shocking power, Seriin has been labeled as 'The Guardian of Spring' by the animals who dwell there. The animals had gifted him with small amounts of armor to thank him for relieving them of a harsh winter. Everyone was so kind, but Seriin always felt that he was missing some part of his heart. He still could not shake off the fact that his brother was still missing. He doesn't have the best memories of him, but he did remember he was very timid and shy, quite the opposite of himself. His biggest dream is that someday they will meet again and reminisce about the times they shared together. If only that were possible...
