She took a pull off her cigarette and held it in her lungs before setting the rainbow colored smoke free into the cosmos. The stars swirled around the ship in majestic colors, clouds of valentine pink and rose purple, moss green and peony orange, lights glittering wildly, planets revolving, and yet therein if you paused for even a moment you would find the blackest backdrop hiding, and waiting. She flipped her long, pastel-colored hair behind her shoulder. The purple faded to blue at the tips and the light from the moons reflected off the shine. She lifted her goggles onto her head and rubbed her eyes. Shit, my makeup, she thought and stopped abruptly. She sighed and put one heavy boot up onto the side of the inter-galatic ship. She was standing outside on the foredeck, smoking and musing, if anywhere this was the place for her.
