Landing in a pool of inky goo.
Crawling forward, realizing the space form didn’t allow themselves to remain cold and together.
Molecules separated, creating more of themselves.
Eyes peeked up from the inky goo puddle. Unable to crawl out of mass they had all became.
Uncertain what exactly they were to do now.
Until Euclid dipped a net into the goop and pulled a mess out. That mess slipped through the holes in the net, landing back into the pool with a splat.
Using a ladle, Euclid extracted a set of eyes and some good.
That was the first blob.
Blobs Mimics realized were all coming out of the pool. Until finally it was their turn.
Oozing into their own life, Mimics was dipped in a bottle of dark matter.
Taking the round shape was just like what Mimics was up in space.
Able to now float and explore the new land.
Every now and then, a little bubble would pop off of them.
A smaller little matter that stayed with them.
Together they would explore.
One by one the little matters would get too heavy. Returned to the pool where it returned into the inky gooey mess, waiting for their turn to become something of their own.
Always those ones that left were replaced with new little matters. No matter how many came from them. Mimics never changed size.
Rolling on ice, Mimics became a cube.
Rolling in leaves Mimics turned green or brown depending on the time of year.
One time, Mimics became a star. That scared them, they didn’t’ want to go back.
Quickly dropped into water they were water. Then a cherry?
Finally returning to the beautiful round purple and black orb.
Mimics continued to explore Subeta. Learning all they could.
Entertained by everything and one they encountered.
