Clair is a long-time ghost hunter. Over the years, she has developed some spectacular skills that aid in her work. Otherworldly hearing abilities are her most prominent skill. (Electronic Voice Phenomeon is capturing the voices of ghosts otherwise unheard on tape. Her hearing is able to bypass the electronic part of the process.) Clair is far from being psychic. She can't read your palm and tell you your life story, and she can't predict anything that will happen within the next few minutes, days, weeks, etc.

She has been possessed before, and only with Viktor's help was she able to rid herself of it. Thankfully, Viktor is all too happy to help her out. The angel tries to make sure that Clair is able to get out of all of her investigations unscathed, but there's always the possibility of it happening anyway. By no means is Viktor solely her guardian, but he certainly acts like it. She often goes searching for the angel before she goes hunting, and most of the time he's happy to tag along, if only because it gives him a purpose.

She makes sure to thoroughly research the places she's planning to visit. She speaks to whoever will hear her out, and especially people who have worked, or inhabited the homes and former businesses. More often than not, she surprisingly has little trouble in eliciting information from locals. Perhaps they find the whole idea as interesting as she does?

Clair has quite a varying personality. She's boisterous, loud and excitable at some points, but she knows when to take things seriously. Despite the fact that she does know when to be serious, she'd rather not be. She says that being..herself, is what keeps her from being frightened by the prospect of a ghost over her shoulder. She jokes about everything and anything, despite the potential of offensiveness to whatever company she may possess.

Unfortunately, she's taken to the idea of trying to intimidate the spirits she's after in an attempt to get their attention. Viktor has told her time and time again not to do such a thing, but she has shown no signs of heeding his advice.
