It is a beautiful day in Peka Park. Tali holds her young Terracoon pup in her arms as she crosses through the gate and into the large, open field. Adalynn is now old enough to explore the outdoors and Tali thought that the Peka Park would be the perfect place for Adalynn's first encounter. The park is filled with other Subetans and their pets. Tali finds a more calm area of the park and sets Adalynn down.

Adalynn is not even phased by the new texture of grass below her paws. She wanders around with barely any emotion. This troubles Tali. Ever since she first adopted the pup, Adalynn seemed uninterested in just about everything. Tali had visited the main shops with Adalynn, but the Terracoon was not amused with the various toys, books, minions, and other items that the stores had to offer. She is unusually calm and tame for a Terracoon and Tali was hopeful that the cool breeze and grass would be the one thing to spark little Adalynn's interest. Tali begins to think that Glacier might have fit Adalynn's personality better than Blacklight.

"Perhaps the Peka Glade will tickle your fancy," Tali says. With it being just after 8 p.m. on a summer day, the Glade is open for an hour. She scoops her Terracoon pup into her arms and follows the other eager Subetans to the Glades.

As always, the Glades are gorgeous. They are incredibly peaceful and this is where many pets change into gorgeous Glade colors. "What do you think of the Glades, Adalynn?" Still, the Terracoon seemed bored. Tali looks around and spots the creek. "Perhaps you will enjoy the water." She walks over to the flowing water and sets Adalynn down.

Other pets are playing nearby. Some rush through the trees and others splash in the water. Adalynn notices a small waterfall that leads to a pond and walks over to it curiously. She peeks in the pond to find it filled with Torrent. The Torrent swim to the surface to greet the Terracoon.

Tali is amazed to see Adalynn's ears finally perk up. She lets out a few happy barks and dips her paws into the pond to allow the Torrent to kiss them. At last, Adalynn jumps into the pond and the water around her begins to glow. Tali is baffled by the sight. Is this what happens when a pet becomes part of the Glade? No, she did not give Adalynn a potion. She watches as Adalynn begins to glow as well and the Torrent surround her. What felt like an eternity later, both the pond and Adalynn stop glowing. Tali's mouth drops open at the appearance of her pet.

Adalynn did not become a Glade pet. Something more bizarre, but absolutely stunning, happened instead. Adalynn grew features of a Torrent! She looked like a hybrid between a Terracoon and a Torrent, as if Adalynn was accidentally given both elixirs at the same time and this was the resulting product. Fins trail off her four legs and back. She is still fluffy like a Terracoon but has the beautiful markings of a Torrent. The most unique is her Torrent-like tail. Tali watches as Adalynn swims in the water happily with the school of Torrent. She is fully capable of breathing not just the fresh air, but the water as well.

As odd as it is, it all makes sense. Adalynn could not find interest in anything because she was meant to be part of the water. Adalynn was surrounded by happiness this whole time, but Tali expected it to be in something materialistic. She had never heard of hybrids of two Subeta species being possible, but now she is the owner of one. And she is proud of her pet for being exactly what she wants to be.
